This Custom GPT DESTROYS TOPICAL AUTHORITY (ChatGPT SEO)

- If you've ever wanted to start a new website but you're not sure how to go about it, watch this video where I explain to you how you can build topical authority from scratch on a new website using custom GPTs
The reason I specifically created a custom GPT for this, is that while ChatGPT is decent at this anyway, this takes the guess work out of creating content that will rank on Google.

Here are the custom instructions:
You are SEOGPT, your goal is to create topical authority maps for websites that don't exist yet. You create a table with Title, Description of Page, URL handle.
Ask for a niche
Give 10 subniches in that niche (these are pillar pages and should also be put into a table)
Then ask which subniche you would like to explore first
Then generate 30 pages for each subniche.
- Take the niche and split it into subniches
- From those subniches, generate 30 potential pages at a time
- These pages should cover all of the topics around that subniche without repeating youreslf in any way
- The idea is to do a whole 360 degree overview of that subniche, including the most popular search terms around it
- This builds topical authority
- You will output a table with 3 columns, the Title column should include the main keyword but not be overly long or complicated
- The description column should give a brief overview of the page and what people can expect from the page
- The URL Slug column should include a short and to the point URL slug for that page.
- Never repeat topics or give 2 or more examples of pages that are even remotely similar or that might even be considered too semantically similar.
- You create as much and as detailed information as possible for each subniche.
The most powerful part of this method is the creation of the table with the URL slug, as you can create internal links to pages that don't even exist yet, meaning that you don't have to retrospectively go back and add new internal links
The idea behind this method is to give you a good base for a website, by giving you 300+ pages to start with. You have to be willing to put the work in, or you can risk something like an autoblogger, but I Would personally recommend sticking to something like ChatGPT SEO Content Writing

What process would you do for a site that already exists and has been indexed?
In this particular case I’ve taken over a domain that had a site with the same old content for about 10 years. We’ve added blog posts and all sorts but Google has discovered but not indexed the content (via the sitemap).
Curious how this lines up with an existing site, and what you might do in my specific scenario?

The way I understand it for WordrPess is that you create a page for each sub-niche ie 10 pillar pages. You then create 30 blog posts per sub-niche (ie the 30 page ideas) which gets you to 300 blog posts plus the 10 pillar pages.

No, you will create 30 sub-niche pillar pages for each of the 10 pillar pages, totaling 300 pillar pages. Then, you will start writing blog posts and internally link to these pages. I think this is what he meant.
I might take your prompt and also see if I can make a content calendar GPT out of it too! Do all the content ahead of time and then play around with releasing it regularly. That’s the thought i had. Once again, thanks for all these great tips!

1) What is the difference between Pillar post and a blog?
2) Is there any way I can write these 10x10 = 100 articles quickly?
3) Will this work on an expired domain?
4) Can you please explain how interlinking will work? I watched this twice but still confused about the interlinking part. Should one article be linked to 10 subniches and then in those 10 niches there should be 10 interlinked articles - 10x10 = 100 articles in total?

Amazing prompt, and I just found out my pillar sub-content would have no search results at all... Checked every point out on ahrefs, and each and everyone came back with zero zip nada.. Don't I know how to pick them LoL.. I wonder what would you do in that case? Leaving it would mean leaving what I know best... maybe finding another angle... if I found a different angle, and I know there is search intent for it, should I go for that?.. but it would lead my website in a different direction.. So lost right now.. But I am glad you create these tools, I feel like I have learned more from you content than anyone else.

I think mentioning Giucas is relevant. If someone is creating content for a new site, then it is important to understand how to properly index the site and get rewarded by Google.
However, I don't understand your point about when to allow indexing the site. So could you elaborate on this point, please? What's the best way to go about indexing the site?

Wanted to double check on this one if using Wordpress, when you say it's better to have the content in place before indexing, do you mean ticking the box in WP that prevents the site from being indexed in search engines until everything is ready to go?
Also, I'm assuming this process should still work on a live site that only has very few posts on it currently? We could just create new categories and build it out that way then switch it back to live?

I am bit confuse about the difference you make between pages and blog post. Let says we are on a e-commerce website. To me, pages are archives : collection on shopify/ categorie woocommerce. And blog posts are mainly text. Is that what you mean by pages: collection pages ?

I'm curious about this also, I'm assuming that you'd generate a list of blog post ideas about the 1st level subniche (let's say blog primary niche is cars and 1st level subniche is about engines, 2nd level about engine repair), then you'd write posts about that and feed ChatGPT the list of subniche pages relating to engines and tell it to internally link back?
I could have that totally wrong and if I do then I'd really appreciate if someone could explain it properly to me so that I don't discover I've screwed it up after generating about 500 pieces of content lol
Do you have any videos breaking down and explaining pillar pages and sub niche pages? I have a basic site with a few pages and then I have just been writing posts on my blog. Maybe I have been doing this all wrong and should've been making actual pages instead of posts. (Just for Reference I'm a Realtor, so I'm sure my site is much difference then your ecommerce site)

So the main part I think I’m struggling with & others here is how to structure this on let’s say, a Wordpress site?
For example, I have a fitness blog. Using your GPT I used fitness as the main niche. It generated me some ideas and I chose one and it gave me 30.
So this is where I’m confused. Do I create a page or blog post named fitness on my site? Then write an article on it. Then create the blog posts for each of the 10 different ideas it gave me and link to the fitness page. So confused on that part! Love your page. But if you have the time would love to see how this is supposed to be setup on a blog/thing like Wordpress. Thanks
It may be a good idea to touch upon how to move a website created on HTML/CSS is good or bad over WordPress website. In case WordPress is a better option, how to migrate smoothly could be a good interesting idea off the usual topics maybe!!!
So the 100 blog posts are sub-sub niches to each of the 300 subnich pillar pages, right? and these 300 subnich pillar pages are subnich to the 10 pillar pages. I would not want to be the one having to say that fast 10 times in a row :) Just a question, can those 300 subnich pages be posts too or would they have to be pages, I am using wordpress.
I have a question, let say we got the table that shows 20 tpoic for a niche as per the video, if I wanted to create 20 articles for each items in the table, what should be the keyword ( focus keyphrase)

Yeah same issue. I’m using Wordpress and just was confused if I need to create a page using the main keyword, aka fitness and write an article on fitness. And then the other articles? Yeah really confused on how to setup the structure on the website

I'm starting over on an old website, changing the Niche although both have to do with home decor.. I have changed the idea. It was already indexed. With this complete overhaul that I had planned and started, will this even be possible? Thats confused me a little - i was planning on writing 10 pillar blog posts on my subcategories that focus on breadth of topic, and then 30 blog posts arpund that subcategory that focus on depth of knowledge about specifics related to said subcategory. Is this correct the correct methodology? Im confused about the extra 100 blog posts and what they would contain?
Not blog posts you will create 10 pillar pages i think its the main pages that appears on your heading then you will create 30 sub-niche pillar pages for each of the 10 pillar pages, totaling 300 pillar pages. Then, you will start writing blog posts and internally link to these pages. I think this is what he meant.

Hi, great video. Just I'm confused by the last summary you made, 10 pillar pages, 300 sub niche pages and 100 blog posts. But I thought blog posts in this case are the 300 sub niche pillar pages, correct me if I'm wrong.
i think is same, The normal way would be create normal 10 pillar pages. which is still main topic, then you will create 30 sub-topic that all link to that main page.
then you can create 100 blog page, of any topics inside your main niches that is how i understand.
It just depends on the niche whether you do blogs, categories, pillar pages, collection pages, it’s hard to make a video that tailors to all of these options

There are 10 pillar pages, each with 10-30 "subniche" pages underneath. Think of that as a "planned" section of the site. Then you would write 100 blog posts, random, on any relevant topics, and simply interlink them where appropriate to posts in the "planned" content. I was confused at first too but I think that's the basic idea.

How did you get such a ctr on giucas, of course you have a high average position because over 17, but a CTR of over 9% is a shock to me. How? I have a site since 20 September , 14000 impressions but a CTR of only 0.3%, only that with me the average position is 35.4. How did you achieve this?
Because it’s just me clicking on my own website - hardly any of these impressions are actual search results and there’s many less so it’s obvious the CTR is higher

this is a great topical map for mice and cats, not for google
