This is a bit personal but maybe it's useful for somebody else. I write my scores on Sibelius 8, but Rewire no longer works with Live 11. Syncing them used to be really useful. I know m4L has its own rewire object, but I don't know how to use it effectively to work particulary with Sibelius, I haven't found videos about it. But if that's too specific I would like to see a video about workflow, putting everything together with the templates you have shared with us in your website. A Sound design one wouldn't hurt either. :)
Yep I’ve seen the comment sections from many RUclipsrs’ videos over the years with so many hateful, rude jerks making comments that are completely inappropriate and not even necessary. It makes me angry Thanks for the content
Your success is proof that these kind of comments are insignificant and just a reflection of their ugly personalities. You're a professional musician and producer but no matter how amazing you are, there will always be stupid hurtful comments from certain kinds of people. Filtering out these insignificant comments can't be easy but thank goodness you you do! I look forward to your new posts on music production every week so thank you 😊 🙏 🙌
Sadly, social media makes it too easy to be cruel. I enjoy your videos. You were a great resource when I started my music production journey just a few years ago. Your intro music always reminds me of the time when I knew nothing and eagerly wondered what I was going to learn next from Liina. Thank you for all your hard work. 🥰
Good for you there are bullies in every walk of life and you are right to laugh it off if you can. You in my opinion are good at what you do what more can one ask. I was a Manger in Health before I retired and trust me you cant please everyone. I would not even read hate comments just setup a special bin. I am sure you know what I mean. I am 71 and played bass guitar in several bands which was just friends since I first heard Macca in 1963. Now I play guitar and keyboard and record just starting out. Ableton is my DAW and I am learning thanks to your videos. Perfect ..
I have followed you for a while... You are an amazing teacher, a great influence, and I think your style will bring more talent to the work. You rock!!! One the reasons I decided to explore Ableton, Push, and learning new music skills is your skill, style, and attitude. Cheers!!!
I don't worry about negative comments. I just let it all go over my head. been playing jazz guitar over 30 years, I get negative comments , but I just don't let it bother me. Your channel brilliant, very informative . Thank you.
Thank you for making this quite "different" video. I have learn't a lot from your Ableton videos and appreciate your efforts in making them and now have learn't some more 😊 (for the record, i am a 46 year old male metal head from Australia and your one of my "go to" channels for using/learning Ableton) - thank you
Sadly most of these comments come from men like they couldn’t stand the female with technical knowledge. I work in a production studio and oh my fucking God how many times I’ve been undermined or pushed aside. Keep representing us ❤ you’re doing great!
Great video and message! I really appreciate your videos. I stumbled across your channel some time ago and I've been following since. Haters hate because they love what you're doing and are upset that they aren't doing the same...
"there is literally no failure in creativity". That is the most influential statement I have heard in a long time. It reminds me a lot of "Thomas Edison first found 1000 ways NOT to make a lightbulb" only with a bit more positive spin. I'm really glad you touched on this topic I think it is an important one to keep in mind. I myself tend to care VERY little about others perception of me, but even I need to seek some form of validation from somewhere. It's important for self growth to have trusted honest criticisms.
The fear of negative comments has definitely been holding me back from releasing music. So thank you for this video! I have never understood why people make negative comments. We are all different and like different things so why waste time commenting negative things. If I don’t enjoy what I am watching then I just move on and don’t give it more of my energy
When I started releasing music one of my biggest fears was that people would pick apart everything I did and point out all the flaws and tell me I don't know what I'm doing (I really don't know what I'm doing shhhh). It's also why I've struggled with putting a face to my channel and started uploading content other than my music. You have a great channel that provides value to others like me, a great personality that keeps me coming back and on top of that you are a great musician. Pardon my French but F_ck the trolls.
When I started to work in the music industry as a professional among people who's been doing this fo years.. I realised everyone feel this fear and everyone feels like an imposter. So let's just do what we do and enjoy it!
Luckily, the format at least is evident to others… hate on this platform is at least in a space everyone can see, not people outside your house or heckling in the street… a form that can then cause gaslighting that you’re being paranoid. I can’t wait till I’m here m RUclips so I can directly show the hate and aggression. People often simply get jealous and if you start saying something and they might know a little more than you then they become vultures. You’re doing great, seeing someone learn as well as teach is a great thing to share and will be helping lots of other newer people into the world… plus a female dog it when there’s not enough doing it, that must be hard also but then more reason to keep at it
I just came here because I'm an extremely new musician, I have just started singing and wanted to post a few little covers online. Every time I did, I got horrible comments and ended up feeling embarrassed and deleting what I posted. Honestly I'm not that good, but people have told me that I have potential. Its so hard, as someone who is just self learning to sing, it's terrifying, especially when you know the hate comments have substance to them
Thanks for this...My wife is a Certified Psychologist and everything you said is 100% correct especially the section dealing with fear, approval/validation. I personally think validation is good but one must work on building their inner strength because relying on validation even from those you want it from shouldn't be the end all be all because sometimes you might not get any validation..Be happy with what you think about your music. 👍🏾 Great topic
In one of my last comments I mentioned some technical aspects that I think you should improve in your construction of a song. I posted it but after a few minutes I removed it for fear that you would understand that my comment was hateful. It was not. I think you have a lot to improve in your musical productions but despite that you are an excellent teacher of Ableton Live and I respect your work very much. Keep up your good work and don't worry about the haters. Cheers.
I love playing around with music software and production so am on a few forums and groups. The fact is that while they have some fascinating and friendly people in them, they also have a bunch of socially stunted obsessives in the mix who are dead keen to attack others as they themselves feel unrecognised and without validation, so lash out at others to try to feel superior.
We who have been helped by your valuable content are the vast majority. I love your Ableton tutorials and appreciate the time and effort you put into explaining a lot of topics in a fun, sweet and light-headed manner. Thank you for all the knowledge you share free for us!
I've been creating my own version of Music based on what I grew up with .I have a little background in music I'm a professional dancer or was .but I do get a lot of hate for being experimental . I don't let it bother me and I keep up the work ethic I started with .by putting up three publish songs with videos a week.. very original people watch just to see when I'm going to say next .I like this presentation , I liked the video and subscribed..I will watch more in the future
Wow, super useful summary about the dark side of the comments. 👍 I don’t know why would someone comment by hate on this channel, full of useful tipps and positive vibes. 🤷🏼 Thanks for sharing this!
Social media is very competitive. You can succeed through investing time, resources and energy. With a few exceptions, not everyone ‘at the top’ is necessarily the best , they’ve just been more committed and disciplined in ‘generating’ content. And RUclips isn’t picky when it comes to content, it’s just hungry for more of the same. It’s algorithms can’t measure creativity or recognise talent and so it’s important not to measure your own success by the number of hits, likes or subscribers you have. In contrast, parents and close friends can arguably be too kind and supportive which can be just as damaging to personal development. And outside in the real world I’ve read plenty of comments from musicians on the subject of how to deal with criticism from clients. So it appears the world is full of people with opinions ranging from childish to uneducated and social media does fabulous job of delivering them anonymously to the glass door of our fragile egos.
“ Hate “ is too strong a word to describe peoples’ dislike of others’ creativity. We like what we like and reject what we don’t like . Do what you love and ignore the negatives.
I find hate to describe very well the action of putting one down without constructive input, but point to make other person feel bad. Otherwise all opinions and perspectives are welcomed.

Personally, I really enjoy the way you are teaching things; I have been doing this job for a very long time (at least 20 years) and yet I still learned some pretty cool tricks watching your videos; so, thanks a lot for that.
It's very sad you need to make a video about this topic, but it is reality and you're dealing with it (and helping others deal with it) enormously well. 13 minutes of pure wisdom! Besides, I have always thought it's better to be either loved or hated than leave people totally indifferent. Getting comments, good and bad, means you're under peoples' skin and if they don't like it, it's just as you stated, their problem!
i've been ostersized and picked upon since very early childhood, had to have plugs and swim cap because hole in ear drum. caused all sorts of horrible behaviour in horrible children. remember, it's most often that people are in pain themselves, when they display negative behaviour toward others. many people are hurting, but if you can't take creative criticism, then people need to lighten up.
Great message. I always think, even the most famous musicians have people who don't care for their music. Also, there are some people out there who have deep psychological problems. Best to just ignore them. Your videos are very helpful for me and my son, who is hoping to be a professional musician one day. Can't thank you enough!
That first bit of advice is brilliant. How long does it take you to make your content? How long did it take you in the early days considering you've been doing this every week for 3 years?
thank you! In the early days it could take 2-3 days, plan, film, edit, upload and make thubmnail. Nowadays I have an editor so the workflow is sooo much faster!
Wow you get hate?….. I like your way of coming across your techniq is fun goofy at times and interesting and most of all you make it look easy Do your thing girl!
Love your vids and you. F-k every1 who gets in the way. Every vid I make, I end with saying “be kind, always”, etc. All the trolls and haters don’t matter. Just keep moving forward. So many more people love you than hate you. ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for the Ableton tutos. 😊
I love your channel, have found it so useful and you explain the techniques in a way that I can really understand. Did you go to college to learn music tech/production? I really appreciate all my favourite RUclipsrs for putting all this fabulous content out there. I'm sure dealing with all the random and negative comments can be very wearing.
I’m a very nice 😊 person and I don’t do bad things to you to me you’re good and I agree with you LNA Does Audio Stuff. Cannot wait for your mastering video and also does segue counts on a album 💿 what happens if I skip ⏭ that track like sanctify and deeper I hear 👂 the ending of that track and beginning of deeper I wanna know what was the cause of that but I know that it’s part of the mastering stage and my cousin Stephanie boyfriend Danny Crooke said that don’t skip ⏭ the track when segue happens just listen 👂 to the whole entire track from start to end but I wanna know about that?
Hey Lena - Great video and advice. There is a psychological thing that 1 negative comment can negate 10 positive ones. It's just being hunan I think. As for validation - I respect the opinion of people I respect. Otherwise... 😀
@@LNADoesAudioStuff You nailed it! This kind of "segue" thing happens at the mastering stage of an album... typically the engineer masters all the songs together and then splits the songs up into their own tracks. This way the whole album could play like "one long song" with about the same audio levels between each song. That's why sometimes you'll hear the end of a song at the beginning of another. Hope this helps!
Most of what you show in pop-ups in the beginning of your video are not "hate", it's hard-core criticism. Rule number 1: If you're going to become a musician, studio tech or have anything to do with displaying your musical prowess on any social media platform, GROW THICK SKIN. And you might want to remember that the vast majority of people going overboard on their criticism is because they are jealous, not musicians in any sense, beginners, unqualified or are just angry at the world. Also keep in mind, "a kick in the ass is still a step forward". Lighten up, lady.
”Hate” depends on the perspective. Showing vulnerability is ok and should be encouraged. We are humans, and feelings are part of what we are. Understanding your feelings and going to therapy, you’ll deal with the feelings… not push them down, trying to ”toughen up”. That was the message of the vid ❤️
@@LNADoesAudioStuff Constructive criticism or even 'fiery' criticism is NOT hatred. It's paramount to be able to decipher which is which. There is no "perspective" that makes criticism, hatred... or makes hatred, simple criticism. If I make the statement that your outlook on the state of music today is infantile, juvenile, asinine and irrelevant, that is in no way "hatred", it's disappointment, disgust or disillusionment. I repeat, grow thicker skin, as it is a requirement for our profession.
A lot of the time when you're doing a video, things won't sound right until the end, & I'll spend a while thinking "Oh God why would anyone ever want to do that?" But then in the end everything comes together & it's like "Oh! OH! That's really cool!" And I bet that a lot of the time, while you're in the process you'll be thinking "Oh this sucks, why am I doing this?" at least when you started out anyway - but now that you're experienced & have tonnes of music under your belt, do you find you have the courage of your convictions more? I used to follow a blog by Kathy Sierra, one of the writers of "Head First Java". Her blog was called "Creating Passionate Users". Her rationale was that if you have any kind of product, and your users, some of them at least, are passionate about it, they'll advocate and evangelise for it, like "Dude, have you heard LNA's music? Check this out:" *plays a track* - and one point she stressed often was this: if people are passionate lovers *or haters* of your project, as long as the number of lovers is greater than the haters, that's GREAT. You're not in the mediocre middle ground. You're not making elevator music and telephone hold music. You're making stuff that people go "OMG I LOVE THAT!" or "WTF, that SUCKS! And I'm gonna talk about why!" & either way people are going to hear about it & have a listen. And the critics may have a point occasionally: if it's someone whose opinion you respect & trust, and it's an opinion given in a genuine spirit of trying to help, fair enough, but you're not ever going to please everyone all the time, and when you have your own style, if it's going to make some folks love it, others are genuinely going to hate it and that is fine.

Absolutely!
You are a good teacher❤️
Thanks so much ❤
I got one negative comment on Twitter and sent the guy a 5 min diss track w/ music video two days later...It's a problem. 😅
Awesome video!
thanks! 🙏
Most hate of art comes from those who can’t or won’t make art themselves
People are so rude! Why can't they just move on if they don't like something.
Love the chipmunk voice
hah yes my editor had some fun :D
Is break and also breakdown and also interlude same or different because to me they are totally 💯 different from each other?
yes I quess depending on the genre of music they can be completely different type of concepts.
@@LNADoesAudioStuff Totally 💯 agree for sure I was listen 👂 to Stereo World 🌍 by Feeder and it’s so different from each other for sure.
@@LNADoesAudioStuff Totally 💯 understand you LNA and I know that you meant to say guess too.
🙏😇😉
Why is song struture is really important to the song writing ✍️ process?
H! Structure is important as it helps us with the story telling in the composition. :)
@@LNADoesAudioStuff so true LNA I always totally 💯 100 💯 percent agree with you for sure.
@@LNADoesAudioStuff think 🤔 💭 🧐 about positive vibes and you even have a husband which I’m very shocked for you and your family.
@@LNADoesAudioStuff I know LNA you meant to say hi 👋.
You could avoid all of this by just making good music.
