  • I went down to UNC-Charlotte with my wife Nikonya so she could attend a conference to defend her senior research in the BSRT (bachelor of science in respiratory therapy) program. While she was meeting with judges and academics I walked a good portion of the campus, shooting nice 4K video of the buildings and grounds. In this two-part video you'll see Cameron Hall, Cato College of Education, Fretwell, Friday Business School, Robinson Hall, Storrs Architectural studies, Health and Human Services Center, Barnhardt - Student Activity Center - Halton Arena (where the 49ers play basketball), the student garden, and more. This is part 1 of 2. Part two will be available at this link: • Walking Tour of UNCC P...

I graduated in 1994 and my last visit was a few years ago. This campus looks so different! Wow!

It gets bigger and bigger all the time. Research on what it is now because this video was made three years ago and just this year they've been talking about building even more stuff there

I'm going there soon and I will bet you it's even more different now. They constantly build new stuff there and change things around. This campus never stops growing

Hi Tony, I just had a quick question. Are you able to walk UNCC campus without being a student? I am planning on purchasing a parking pass for the fall semester, and on my days off of work, I plan to go to UNCC for nice walks and exploration.
    Thanks!

Not sure if there are any campus policies about just walking around. I was there for my wife's senior research presentation, and just decided to go for a hike. No one said a word to me as I walked about. You might check their website or call them to confirm. It really is a great place to walk though.

Great video. I was near UNC campus last weekend. Too bad you didn't get any footage of the Botanic garden on campus, that place is beautiful! Actually UNC was a stop on my way to Morgantown to check it out based on your many video recommendations. BTW we loved Morganton!!! and will probably move there.
I'm sorry for this off topic question but while in Morganton we noticed many houses had large ~100gal steel drums on stilts right next to the house, and usually had a small piece of tubing that seemed to go into the house. Do you know what these are for? I'm super curious.

Probably rainwater collection barrels. Many people like to water plants with rainwater.

Very cool to see another campus tour video. Hope you didn't get a parking ticket while in Charlotte, haha!

Ha - not this time. Just had to pay like $14 to park in a deck. No problem as long as Charlotte doesn't stiff me for something that's supposed to be free. Really glad you liked the tour. Very cool place to visit actually.
