Where the does the spring go on the idle cable?

Hi Adam, the spring sits in the "cup" of the bracket that is attached to the carb. provides pressure (very little) between the bracket and the cable cover end that the actual cable passes through. This link it to a forum for someone who was having spring size issues but the picture shows the spring and what part of the cable it presses against, doesnt show the cup though. Hope this helps.

Thanks!!! I was confused on that part and could T get a good answer. Someone said on the actual carb, which threw me way off. Up in the bracket makes much better sense. Thanks a million!!!
