Thank you for posting these videos. A few years ago I used to just decorate my tree. But when I first saw one of your videos I was blow away with the fact that I can decorate my whole living room with dollar store items and make them look elegant. I AM TRULY THANKFUL! Especially because of the fact that it lights up my daughters face to see our home decorated for the holidays💕💕💕

I love all your hacks and dupes. I've been assigning the gift wrap paper for years. Started when the kids couldn't really read. It was a life saver. I used to wrap an item or two in their stocking that way they knew what paper was theirs. Now I hide their paper somewhere in the house. It buys me more wake up time. Also, if it is a shared gift I use both paper's so they know to share the gift. Best hack ever. Plus, I can wrap presents early and not tag them and if they see it they have no idea whose is whose until Christmas morning.

I also love using that sparkly mesh to fill out the tree! Makes a huge impact.
Word to the wise: wait until you’re done putting up all your glittery stuff (including that mesh and any glittery ornaments) BEFORE laying out your tree skirt. Otherwise all the glitter will sprinkle all over the skirt and it will simply live there forever. I like my tree skirt to look somewhat tidy. But there’s no coming back once it’s come into contact with tons of glitter.

Im sorry i don't decorate till after Thanksgiving. That has been my tradition ever since i lived @ home. We all know the true meaning @ Christmas time. Im so grateful for the blessings in my life. I applaud your enthusiasm for Christmas, but Jesus was probably born closer to what is September on our calendar. Christmas was originally the Winter Solstice, or Yule celebration which celebrates the rebirth of the Sun that the pagans integrated into Christianity when they were converted by friars and missionaries. So now we get to have Christmas trees that have nothing to do with Christ since there were not a lot of pine trees in Bethlehem. Santa is based off a variety of pagan and Christian folk figures, particularly Odin riding Sleipnir during the Wild Hunt, and has nothing to do with Jesus. Probably just as well seeing as big jolly white guys in alarmingly red outfits descending on Bethlehem in the BC would have been very confusing to the dark skinned people of Judea. To say nothing of the reindeer, which are very much not native to that country would have been quite terrifying for them to encounter. Yule logs and "Yuletide carols" were also pagan traditions that Jesus was unlikely to have partaken part in since he was a Jew who remained a Jew throughout his life and expressed no interest in rejecting Judaism or of creating a new religion to replace.
So... Uh, yay for Jesus Christ's birth that is not celebrated on his day of birth or celebrated in any way resembling the birthday he would be celebrating if Jews were actually big on celebrating birthdays, I guess?

I added that reversible sign to my WalMart grocery pick up yesterday and I love it! The quality is impressive for the price, and I love that it can be used for more of the year (less to store)! I'm loving the Live Gratefully side for any time of year, not just fall.

You are such an inspiration to those of us who have limited budgets. We have some thrift store ornaments (that looked like your red & white cookie ornaments) and some dollar tree specials that were getting a bit tired and you inspired me to just "spruced them up" with more glitter and paint and they look completely new and different. When I pull out the tree from storage, it will be exciting to have new ornaments for the price of some paint and glitter. They are drying right now...LoL...

We do the same wrapping paper trick too! Except each child is assigned a special "SANTA" paper -- I have a girl and boy -- usually an angel & snowman paper -- they love it!
