Ahoy my friends! First off, I want to thank everyone in my guild, CB Bahamut, for just being an incredible team and working together these past 4 days. Despite all the setbacks and glitches with Guild Wars, we've had a ton of fun! Another HUGE shoutout to all 13 guilds in the Curseborn (CB) Flagship Alliance!! Everyone is currently ranked in the Top 100 which is absolutely freakin awesome! Hats off to all you guys! That being said, today I'll be going over my thoughts for Guild Wars, and what I think needs to change for this to be improved in the future. It has a solid foundation, but certain things must be addressed or I fear this will just burn out all the players. I'll also talk a little about strategy, my plans for future video content regarding Guild Wars (still undecided) and also I'll be doing a Mock battle against Stage 4 at the end of the video! I hope they make some tweaks so the next one isn't as time consuming and stressful. Everyone is doing amazing though. I have a lot of respect for you and all the subleaders handling this, I feel like I would pass out from stress in your guy's position lol.
However, I understand the issue of coordinating all the battles, luckily I found 2 sub leaders who are truly fantastic,we managed to have the results of the 5 mock battles of all 30 kids, all transcribed in ascending order by stage win,so we know who to go fight in stage 1, who in stage 2 etc, look, I'm really happy with the people I found, so thanks again,This experience, even at the beginning, excites me in an impressive way🙏
It was an interesting experience ; I definitely felt the rush during this event, and I actually liked it to a point I'll probably miss this feeling for the next days, now back to the usual farming :( But it was flawed to say the least: - Mock vs Official difference hurts, but they'll tackle that - Official battles lags, ATB rollback, camera bugs (though it's on mock too, I asked for fixed camera, but not like that please) hinders the already stressful experience - I'm pretty sure the AI behaves a bit differently in official matches, DPS don't instantly cast their main attack, but the healer is eager to use attacks when you don't manually control them - The additional equipment system would be more interesting if it was for all guild members instead, each member would share a certain amount of weapons/costumes, and the power given would affect every member Aside from that, honestly it was thrilling, the guild chat was lively (depending on the time of the day), I would scroll through the chat every morning, thinking twice before clicking on that official battle button. Shout out to everyone, each contribution is meaningful and everyone meant it, the subleaders were on point as well, and thank you again Ryder; it's been actually years I didn't experience such rush in a game implying guilds !
Hell yeah dude it was a blast fighting alongside you!! And yeah you totally nailed everything that needs to be fixed and i hope they do. And aside from all the glitches, it was so fun fighting together with everyone. Such a total blast and bond that brought everyone together =)

Great work o/ I saw a couple of your guys guilds right around the one I joined rank wise (and most of your quite a bit higher xd) - I lucked out the random guild I joined was pretty good and looks like we got top 50. We were #49 with about 145mil points with 1 minute left on the timer with a 3 mil spread to knock us out of top 50 🤞🤞🤞
I do like the bonus weapons buff. I've always been for building everyone as opposed to 'maining' certain characters. They could probably scale the buffs down a bit though
The biggest I got is the explanation for how the scoring functions wasnt explained as well as Id like. I spent the first two days trying to understand how the scoring is done as I wasnt sure if the individual contribution was your best score amongst the bosses, the sum of them or what.
I think it's a good idea. Works well. I think that this boosts participation. I think gil, character shards, or noble summon shards, blue gems, or single weapon vouchers should be included. This makes the juice worth the squeeze, and would make sense for all the work put in. They need to address the time differences with mock battles and real, and test camera bugs before releasing. Also, bring back criterion dungeons, and normal difficulty to get tickets, and gil. I'm all for guilds, the guild weapons, and the concept. There's just a lot of bugs affecting performance. Idk how they're going to compensate for that highwind bug
I agree that it works, but i think we might have differing ideas on works well. In my opinion this doesn't work well at the moment. It has the seed of something that could be great, dont get me wrong, but we do need some changes. Glitches in freezing on chars, atb resets, lag, crashes causing key losses, chat being overblown with guild battle messages, mock doesn't work, the time zone and the fact that this game has like 3 different daily login periods is absurd. Once they simplify and fix these things, then yeah, for sure, i think it will work better than good, it could work great =)
The mock battle was a bummer. I spend loads on hours doing mock battles to help my guild with strats. It ended up being worthless in the end because our guild lost 5-10 %
The coordination effort is definitely harder for the stronger guilds able to reset all of the bosses multiple times in a day. For weaker guilds only able to achieve a full reset once or even not at all during a cycle, coordination is probably way easier. In the Guild alliance, we can always look at whether it makes sense to move some people around between guilds based on time zones to alleviate some of the guild war coordination issues. Probably a massive lift to coordinate, but it could be an option.
this is my opinion on how to improve Guild Wars: 1. increase Guild formation cost and requirements. Speaking from personal experience, im pretty sure 99% of the Guilds will die within 1-2month. 2. remove Additional Equipment system. Or introduce a team power cap, say about 600k (example). Players with team nowhere near 600k can use Additional Equipment system to increase their power to 600k, thereby reducing the p2w advantage between normal players and whales. (currently the top100 guild is about 75k and top1 guild is 975k) 3. varied modes and bosses (coop dungeon plz) 4. Better rewards, especially active participation rewards for Guilds (to encourage weaker Guilds to participate) 5. finally but not the last, official guild alliance wars. luckily my guild is active enough to be in top100. Until something changes, achieving top10 is impossible
My guess / hope is Aerith for anniversary will get a magical ability mastery gear for anniversary somewhat similar to Seph's. With all of her elemental weapons most of which are AOE, she would make a fantastic sub DPS for magical elemental AOE because I think multiple targets will be more common. Wizer Staff - HP and AOE earth. Red has a weapon with the same R abilities, so Vinnie or Lucia can take Red's weapon for their build which means Aerith can be in the party. Egg Staff - HP and AOE fire. Cait Sith has one as well with these R abilities, so Fire Zack or Fire Tifa can use Cait's weapon which means Aerith can be on the same party with either of them. Wizard Staff - MATK and AOE lightning. Seph's CC alloy and Lucia's Thunderbird have the same R Abilities which Lightning Tifa can equip which again means the Aerith can be in the same party as Tifa as a sub DPS. Prism Rod - HP and ST wind. For those that missed her arcanum, the mastery gear would give Aerith a little more damage. She is currently the only ST magcial wind DPS. Snowflake - MATK and ice. It's unique that this maxes out boost MATK with just one weapon. Although it's ST, it's low potency but can do MDEF down 3 tiers. The mastery gear would be helpful as well for those that don't have her ice mastery gear. She has 5 elements and she can be slotted in a party in any of them without taking anything away from the main, ST DPS. However, most of her builds would require her to equip Sun Umbrella, which is a staple in many magical builds, but there are substitutes (Flower Vase, Electrocanon, Vinne has one as well). Aerith is missing water which might be her summer weapon that is AOE. I'm completely guessing on this. If so, she would then have all 6 elements. I'm also hoping that she gets a ST non-elemental weapon similar to Guide Gloves but magical. She
I wish coordinating mattered for my guild. We take down Stage 1 every day and Stage 2 every other day and that's about it. I'm trying to keep the guild a positive space, but at the same time I just want to tell people to learn how to play the game. At least I have some inactives that are looking to get autokicked soon.
I completely understand why they rolled this out pretty much immediately after guilds. However, for the more casual guilds I don't even think most had a stable roster quite yet. Still fun though!
Guild daily quests resetting 6 hours before the fights do really screwed with me since I missed the first set, terrible idea and it affects people's willingness to fight when it is best as they are motivated to wait
I think the time changes are to stop people setting up macros to just auto it… this system has been designed for the Japan market and haven’t considered the international markets
That's very optimistic of ya haha. Though i think, things like the screen freezing while facing Vincent for large portions of the battle, the chat being mixed with the battle results, there are lots of things that need to be reworked hehe
@BodhiJMSRyder The work around to that is letting the animation play through. I was not pleased with that bug not being mentioned in the notices. It will be addressed I'm sure. Too late to do much for this event however. Keep up the great work!
The problem of the mock and real is not only the time but also the atb. If you see the atb in the real fight rewinds after the boss use fuse, it rewind like 1/3 of 1 atb bar and this made my whole fight different, so it really sux. Also the rewards for the amount of effort and time ppl spent in this event is ridiculously low… not even gems… they are really doing a quantitative tightening on gems after 1 year of play, I don’t know if they have a brain or just like their name suggests applybot they just use or are a bunch of bots without enough ai to do a decent product 😂
They definitely need to add a chart to keep up with all members of your guild attacks so we know how many keys we have left. We shouldn’t have to make spreadsheets for everything
Basing this entire first guild battle around Vincent and his shiny new weapon so that only the whales could do even remotely well when they were already going to in the first place was a disgusting move and they should feel ashamed of themselves...
It is pretty similar to WoTV raid battles. The thing is that raid battles in WoTV are less competitive i feel in comparison to GW whereas these are highly competitive. Like, we would need bust out a spreadsheet for WoTV raid battles and we're in the rank 30s atm. I think it just needs to be simplified tbh, and create less of a gap between whales and F2P. I think that gap is slowly digging the game a ditch.

Although this very competitive, I feel like the rewards are not outrageous. Like, the medals, everyone will get there eventually. But yeah, that gap from F2P was massive. Even in my own guild, I thought I was strong but I wasn't very helpful past stage 1 🤣
In case you do the pull or not video on the limited banner, could you please consider the scenario of someone who didn’t pull at all on that banner back in the half anniversary? I have a TON of crystals (206k) but still I’m torn between spending at least 60k now (my acc really lacks those “PATK/MATK All” R. Abilities) or keeping everything to the anniversary event so that I may get everything that comes out (costumes + most weapons to OB6).

Always will be those who complain, someone spend money and need competition, some play chill and complaints that someone can beat content they cannot..Reward is not so different for top guilds or casual ones. I am disappointed that mock battle and contest one are different but devs addressed that so we just wait. Timezones were issues in many gacha games so im not so stressed but they could just let everyone attack any difficulties and just get points for the guild instead of killing boss and respawn it
Rewards may not much diffirence but you forgot how strong guild can clear all bosses 3-6 times per day which gave many guild medals.If you think 200-400 guild medals extra are not much ( 50-100 days daily ) for each guild battle then well.But sure thing strong guild will have guild weapons quickly and that will help alot for hard content or next guild battle.
Coming in hot with that title lmao . Cant say how much i dislike the system to begin with, but theyve made it very improper for a die hard player to NOT join a guild. Tying many of the best benefits into guild , they shun all the players who prefer to solo . It is what it is i guess . The entire process is just awful . Now i have to watch certain people in the guild who dont log in or play for days. This is not something i want to do , but they become a liabilty for growth .. why square ?
Yeah i know. For guilds with less organization, this'll become babysit crisis real quick lol and as for the title i had to call it for what it is haha. I like it, but man it needs work

Yeah they really need to explain how their events work, not just expect us to piece it together.
yeah the big problem is having to organize, I think the best solution would be for spillover and just have instant resurrection.

The only thing I wish is that guild battle dailies (not the regular guild dailes) actually reset at the boss Reset. Other than that I love it.

Yeah that was a terrible idea on their part. And we dont need 3 different day reset periods in a day. It's absurd.

Guild Battle is broken. You had 1 512 936 pts from one fight 20:20. My whole guild have 4 884 000 and it is from 30 players after 4 days of event.

Always will be those who complain, someone spend money and need competition, some play chill and complaints that someone can beat content they cannot..Reward is not so different for top guilds or casual ones. I am disappointed that mock battle and contest one are different but devs addressed that so we just wait. Timezones were issues in many gacha games so im not so stressed but they could just let everyone attack any difficulties and just get points for the guild instead of killing boss and respawn it
Yeah that would be a good fix imo!
Rewards may not much diffirence but you forgot how strong guild can clear all bosses 3-6 times per day which gave many guild medals.If you think 200-400 guild medals extra are not much ( 50-100 days daily ) for each guild battle then well.But sure thing strong guild will have guild weapons quickly and that will help alot for hard content or next guild battle.

Coming in hot with that title lmao . Cant say how much i dislike the system to begin with, but theyve made it very improper for a die hard player to NOT join a guild. Tying many of the best benefits into guild , they shun all the players who prefer to solo . It is what it is i guess . The entire process is just awful . Now i have to watch certain people in the guild who dont log in or play for days. This is not something i want to do , but they become a liabilty for growth .. why square ?
Yeah i know. For guilds with less organization, this'll become babysit crisis real quick lol and as for the title i had to call it for what it is haha. I like it, but man it needs work

its kinda cool tho that only a few of us can carry the guild so hard . we made nearly top 100 with me being the only whale 😁
that first day screwed us up good , and i had a lot of enhancements i didn't do until the 3rd or 4th day . it is what it is
