love your reviews man, keep it up!! you're awesome.
Thanks, will do!
Good review! Hope you test the flip 6 soon. They are interesting for me since the new tweeters. Maybe replace they my tribit stormbox.
yup once its out 🤭
Hey Alan, nice Video as always! I wanted to ask you how much louder a Minirig 2.2 Setup gets when you add 2 Minirig mini 2s? In your big Minirig 1.0 - 4.2 Video it seems to add quite a bit of loudness but the speakers are only playing at 66%. Or are the Minis complelety drowned by the Minirig 3 at Max Volume?
It doesnt add much loudness but it does make a difference as it adds a dollop of highs but open highs, not edgy like the mk3s
@@alanrossreviews thank you very much for the quick response, thats all I wanted to know :)
I wish they tuned the killburn properly. I love my stockwell 2 for low level, and 2 motion booms for party time 👍👍
2 motion booms! we laugh in the face of the kilburn!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤓
Hey Alan, I have a charge 4 and I'm looking to upgrade. Would you recommend the Xtreme 2 or the w king X10 , both are in my budget?
hum, the x10 is bigger, im not the biggest fan of either but both will give you some big upper bass kick. maybe go for the cheapest
Thanks Alan. With that weird L/R channel setup, it would be interesting to hear how it handles extreme L/R channel separation. Like the beginning of Pink Floyd's track Money.
kerching!!!!!!!!!!!! thats a good shout! 👌
I can’t wait to see Soundcore’s next speaker upgrade from the boom. The Kilburn sounds very similar to the Urbanears Ralis and testing it against the select pro. I had the same or similar results as you had.
you sold it then?
@@alanrossreviews no I still have it. The battery is dead so I need to send it out for repair per Urbanears warranty instructions.
Isn't the upgrade the pro? Btw that's a down grade I think
I have a Klipsch Heritage Groove. Are you familiar with it? How would it compare sound wise to the Marshall Stockwell II? Would it be worth the purchase comparing it to the Klipsch?
not heard that one.
I think the sweet spot seems to be the Stockwell 2 as far as the Marshall speakers go. In my opinion, as with the xtreme 3, the Killburn 2 just really doesn't offer enough considering it's price point. Thanks for another great one, Alan! 😁👍👏
yup! each marshall speaker since the stockwell has left me more and more disappointed 🤪
Marshall mas claro

I love your reviews. Thanks!
thank you 👌👌😁
Would love ya to review the MARSHALL TUFTON , WOBURN 2 , STANMORE 2 amazing sound i think cheers from Canada
Your videos are just very awesome!
I really like your reviews... 😎
awesome is good 👍😁🥳🥳
That upper bass really ruins it for me, good performance at 100% volume though. Well done sir, can't get enough of your content! ;)
thats what i like to hear 😋😋
What Bluetooth speakers that also runs on mains as well as battery would you recommend looking at. Budget around 500 max
Not sure what you mean by run on mains. Even if it has a direct lead into the mains it will still be running on dc not ac
I just ordered the Xtreme 3 but now I'm wondering whether I should have gotten a Marshall. Acton 2 and Stanmore 2 is around the same price.
🤷 Budget? Sound preference?
As always, great review.
yo! 😋👍
Great work, thank you!
no worries 😊
It seems the Killburn 2 has a huge upper bass peak with a big roll off in the sub-bass frequencies. I'd say putting a bass port over passive radiators was a huge mistake here. Imo boomy bass doesn't sound bad if it digs deep but if upper bass becomes BOOMY it can sound quite irritating. I'm not saying upper bass is always bad in fact it can sound quite good if its a "tight upper bass" like the W-King D8's. So as far it goes for upper bass heavy speakers I would rather have the D8 over this which comes at a fraction of the cost.
simply has no balance, thus it just adds to the mess.
It's 400 $ in my country 😂😂😂
More expensive than the JBL Extremely Priced 3 😁
Please, make a review of the Stanmore II
Cual de estas 3 me recomiendas, estoy por comprar una, pero no las he escuchado personalmente, ayuda porfavor
Cual de estas 3 me recomiendas, estoy por comprar una, pero no las he escuchado personalmente, ayuda porfavor
Would you consider this a great speaker for rock/metal music?
the kilburn? it can do a job but i dont like it, the balance is off.
Hi Alan, can U Show me the Marshall vs. 2 Motion Plus in Stereo Mode......
is that a fair one? or a battle of the upper bass boys?
@@alanrossreviews This is my Personal Favorit vs. Marshall Baby.
I don't know why but Marshall speakers have just a bit harsh sound for my ear...That is maybe the Marshall's sound signature that is coming from rock musics...
i agree with you, i find the highs a little hard to take.
Hello the legend Alan, can you please do an Acton 3 comparison With the kilburn 2 please. Looking forward to it :))
i didnt like the kilburn, have given up on marshall
@@alanrossreviews thanks for the reply, actually I have a stockwell 2 and I was thinking to upgrade to killburn 2, I want to upgrade primarily due to the lack of max volume in stockwell, but I learnt from your videos that stockwell 2 offers a better stereo sound, while killburn is mono and boxy. What do you advise as an upgrade ? Would love to get your perspective ^^
@@simokuroko4266 stormbox blast
should you have clear good sound or a lot of bass? this type of speaker tends to have too much bass in too high frequencies between 100hz and 300hz since such small speakers do not handle deep bass so well. this results in a tiring sound type many times
You can have both
@@alanrossreviews
The video you made about jbl xtreme 2 firmware
2.0.0 - 2.3.0
The frequency curve line shows that the speaker has almost 0% 10k and a lot of 4.5k
The frequency goes up and down much.
No good speaker is like this.
I personally prefered the Killburn in this sound test all the way through. The vocals sounded out of the box. They would really have a winner if you could pair the Killburn with the Stockwell.
i wonder what you are listening to this on? what difference between the kilburn and the stockwell did you hear?
@@alanrossreviews You didn't have the Stockwell in this comparison. I was listening with Bose headphones. Also, I have the Kilburn and did notice a difference after break-in, where the volume started coming in at lower settings. Great reviews by the way.
Can somebody make a better speaker than the Motion Boom already!? I want to upgrade but there's nothing to upgrade to.
not without serious money anyways! its a disgrace! 🤷♀️
Could try going for a used Vifa speaker for higher fidelity sound but the deep bass on the Boom at it’s price is incredible. I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit more for an upgrade to the Boom with an auxiliary input, ability to connect to multiple devices and aptX or AAC.
Tronsfomart t6 max vs motion boom?
what is the best? hug from Brazil 🇧🇷❤
motion boom, yo from UK
Given how it looks how does the Killburn 2 handle rock music?
for me its a mess
@@alanrossreviews That's a shame. Its looks like it should be banging out rock. Motion Boom looks so boring but it does progressive metal pretty well.
it doesnt have the low end wallop for bass drum!
@Alan Ross Reviews Try the Bose Flex. For its size i have never heard a speaker with more impressive bass. It almost has as much bass as my soundcore motion plus and almost as deep but half the weight and size. my old gripe is a slight upper bass peak with some tracks and its crap above 75%. so much compression, intermodulation and distortion. seams like it was tuned for lower volumes. but thats fine with me. i never liston at max. the bass completly caught me off gaurd. i cant believe a speaker thats only 1.3 pounds can have such a quality full rich bass. It makes the bass of my stockwell 2 thats set to 10 sound weak. i used to have a A1 gen2 and the bose craps all over it at least below 75%. i have about 45 speakers in my colection now. Bose is my pound for pound world champ atm in its szie class.
Ha! Everyone stealing my pound for pound catchphrase 😁😁 nope can't get the flex in uk 🇬🇧 yet
@@alanrossreviews Hopefully soon. Love your reviews and that catchphrase. It just works.
another fabulouse ALAN ROSS LAB REVIEW!!😁😁😁
Are there still videos you haven't watched yet? 😝 😝
İ love you much Mr Alan 🤗😉👍 Nice reviews my favoriot channel
thank you 😝😝
Another Alan Ross review. Time for class kids 🤞🏼
ha! too much to live up to! 😝
@@alanrossreviews You a great teacher. No worries lol 😂
Hey Alan just got my 2nd Motion Boom yesterday. You were absolutely right, it’s everything I could’ve hoped for and more, when you pair 2 of them together 😍
@@thatboyneedssomemilkholemd819 yup two booms is the best value in hifi probably 😝
@@alanrossreviews Absolutely. Two in stereo, has a better soundstage, and more hifi listen to me.
I was amazed with what one could do, absolutely floored with two in stereo.
Upper bass ? Noooooooooo 😭
Wait a minute. Reverse stereo tweeters ? What ?!
And no mids just like the Emberton...
apart from that its perfect 😭😭
@@alanrossreviews It can be as perfect as it wants to if the sound is bad then it's bad 😂
Motion Boom is the WİNNER price for performance ⭐
its the champ!
motion boom still makes no sense on how that lil thing sounds so full
it defies the law of JBL pricing 🙈
The JBL scores the highest but it's also the most expensive. The Soundcore is the best bang for your buck speakers. That leaves the Marshall's in the middle. So it all depends on the person's personal budget but if money is no object I would definitely pick the JBL's. Just sayin'.
well you would be giving up deeper bass that the boom gives you.
@@alanrossreviews The only reason the Soundcore sounds like it has deeper bass is because it's lacking mid range, where the JBL's is more of a complete sound.
Missed it. Used to 2 videos per week lmao
You are here so you didnt miss it 🤔
@@alanrossreviews no but usually i have one review on Saturday and one on sunday. Only had one this week end lmao. Habits...
Extreme always for me 😀
but that price................😂
8:12 _Bass really is the weak point on the Killburn_
That is some achievement when it has a 2:23 20cm woofer 🙄 And this thing costs a good bit. I can hear it, it's like it pulls its punches and this is with you trying to make it sound its best.
Its a sculpted bass, some just hear bass but i hear big holes in it 😝 for me i cant listen but others love it, thats audio for you 😊
@@alanrossreviews this speaker and it's brand in general I think is very specific to the music you play. If there isn't much bass, more vocals, and strings, more mids and highs then you will hear each note. I bet people who rave about it are into that kind of music. But the music you play does not work with it. or let's say there are better options out there and for less.
I've learned my lesson with online reviews. All these people will just nitpick nonsense that 99% of consumers don't actually notice or give a shit about. When you are in the market for a $200 plus speaker odds are you are getting a nice product. Just got my kilburn 2 and it sounds fantastic. I'm sure the others are great too. Buy what you like and don't let these clowns flip flop you.
ignorance is bliss, thats for sure 👍😁
The motion boom is the best.. it's just UGLY, the Xtreme3 *GG* which i own sounds good to me...i love the Deep bass in speakers....don't care much about the upper bass, although a lil bit wouldn't hurt...
While Marshall with that upper bass and it's price...its a little bit disappointing...in my country they're so expensive, i don't get why...
DEEP BASS for me..always
marketing goes a long way......but some people simply do like how it sounds 🤷♂️
@@alanrossreviews have you heard about the *Divoom* brand? I've listened to the Divoom Mocha, and i owned the Divoom voombox pro....
I'd like to see your review one day, if you can, about any of these two, they're also cheaper than Xtreme line
Jbl charge 5 still the best of summer 2021 lmao
for travel probably, but the denon smaller and more hifi like.
You ever heard the Bose portable smart speaker ik ridiculously boring name😂
yup! normally you get those names on the cheap Chinese ones where they think everyone is stupid. and that price 😱
"JBL EXTREMELY PRICED 3" 😂
🥳🥳
Khub dam Amazon India te bahut dame bikri korche ei sastar jinish. In my opinion even A006 is value 4 money and batter than Xtreme 3.
Sick and tired of hearing about the dam Anker speakers but yeah the Anker kinda trashed both lmao.
im as sick as you, believe me 🤓
I would say, the marshall isn't made for electronic music. I think it demonstrates it's muscles at accustic drums, highheads and accustic or hand made sound as a general rule. I mean rock music like Nirvana, Rammstein or classic rock like Led Zeppelin. This kind of music needs not really deep bass. The other side: The boom or the extreme can also handle such music with good quality. So in the end: The marshall is superfluous for real musiclovers and is only made for fanboys and girls. My Opinion 😉
well it will fill out bass light tracks but the bass is so off that for me i cant listen to it. massive upper bass, reasonable deep bass but mid bass totally missing
I appreciate the review but inquiring minds needs to know why this man is perspiring? Must be intense benchmarking going on behind the scenes.
Overactive thyroid 👍
motion boom all the way
never in doubt!!!!!!!!!!
If you like bass, get the kilburn. I have one and it's awesome. It shakes the walls and is turned for instrumentation. The jbl is more tuned for vocals. Plus the style points, people are all in love with it ok first sight
but if you like deep bass dont 👍
Marshall, a unique kind of sound..
You like it?
@@alanrossreviews no! Lol, but their sound signature is unique i think. Never heard it out of any other speaker. I like the stockwell 2 alot though
well trying to sell themselves as some sort of cutting edge with 360 stereo sound, defying the laws of physics. get real guys! 🙈
@@alanrossreviews that's true!
Emberton is better than the overpriced stockwell II.
One of the most ridiculous comments ever seen on my channel. Do you wear a hearing aid by chance?
But marshall lost the classic look. ....no gold ribbon that goes around the front .....and the knobs not gold the hole control panel is not the gold look......they stopped the classic looooook
Well thays zound industries for yer 😁
First!
yup! you did it! todays pound for pound champion 😁😁👍
