- This video tutorial provides a basic intro into trigonometry. It explains how to evaluate trigonometric functions like sin, cos, and tan using soh cah toa and right triangle trigonometry. It explains how to use reference angles and coterminal angles to evaluate trig functions such as sec, csc, and cot.

11 is opposite
x= is adjacent
?= is hypotenuse
Find x before solving for ?
@@RobertBryantDiloy-lg2lix could be any number, than to find hypotenuse you can use c = sqrt(11^2+x^2). i mean there a lot of solutions, pick whatever you want

Grade 9, my teacher didnt finish this trig because of pandemic.. now im in grade 12 and taking physics and I need to go back to this.... You helped me a lot my hero. One day when i have finished my study I will support this channel by being a youtube membership... but for now I'll be just an avid learner
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a solid introduction to Trigonometry. This is a beautiful start to old fashion mathematics.
Just randomly woke up to this and remember using this guys stuff years ago when I went back to school at 28. In my 30s now getting ready to do a crown prep exam in dental school.
It's gonna take some years for me to finish studying, but when it does finish I will definitely be back for you Organic chemistry Tutor. Thank you so much for making videos like these where a student like me who lacks guidance and who doesn't have a good foundation is Learning and building up his own foundation. You're amazing for making all these free resources for us. Thank you.

I'm going to take BSCE as my course. and some video said i should master trigo. And there you are my savior. Thanks alot
For the basic values of theta for sin cos tan (0,30,45,60,90) you can use the trig hand trick
Face your palm toward you and label your pinky (0°) and move up with the other basic values.
To find sin(30°) count the number of fingers below whatever finger is labelled for 30°(ring), so there is one finger below your ring finger(pinky)
For sin:
Sqroot of number of fingers below/2
For cos vice versa:
Sqroot of number of fingers above/2
For tan flip your hand over so your nails face you(your pinky is still 0 but it’s counting down now):
Sqroot of the number of fingers above/number of fingers below
👍
This is actually very helpful. thank you.
Sir you helped me pass organic chem, and Trig. I want you to know how much of a godsend you are as a teacher. As a person who despised science and math you have opened a new world of a clarity. For that I thank you.

Here’s a formula for pythagorean triples. Given n>or=3, any odd length side n, which is the shortest side, take n^2/2, and +/- 0.5 to this number. And you have a pythagorean triple. For example, take the number 13. 13^2/2 = 84.5. The 2 other side lengths are 84.5 +/- 0.5, which is 84 and 85. And there you go. 13, 84 and 85 is a pythagorean triple. No need to memorize anything.
cool
thank you for this omg
Bruuh i thought that everyone knows this formula
doesnt work with 8
@@beyourowncatalyst There’s another formula for that. Divide by 2 to get 4, square it to get 16, and +/- 1 to get 15 and 17. 8-15-17 is one of them.

Brown (B) = Base

Tan (T) = turn
Permanently (P)= opposite side
