@rogerwilco99 I don't usually respond to comments, but this one I had to take action in. First of all, Odd kept fighting with her because it guaranteed two kills. Secondly, Odd didn't hunker down Luce, he did that by himself whilst panicked. Thirdly, if I'm not mistaken, hunkering down to remove fire was a feature in War of the Chosen, not in base Xcom 2. I can't say I know that for sure though. Fourthly, if hunkering down does indeed remove fire damage in the base game, playing the game puts one in a different state of mind than watching someone playing the game. He might have just momentarily forgotten, as people are more likely to experience short-term memory loss when focussing on multiple things at once (Namely, everything that happens in Xcom all the time) And Fifthly, regarding the Aid protocol, he knew it wouldn't do anything. He even said that he was doing it for emotional support. RIP Samantha "Singer" Reed - she died fighting in the war, despite her commander's best intentions.
Video Log: Samantha Reed (In Case of Death) Hey. I guess I didn’t make it, huh? I hope that I took some of them with me at least. The Commander let me skip the supply raid; no complaints from me, feeling a bit worn out and it’s nice with some down time. But, there is one down side with not doing anything, you start thinking… And a lot of these thoughts are telling me that I am not long for this world, I feel that my next deployment will be my last. Before sitting down to record this I had a chat with Lily. Even though it’s been some time she’s still deeply affected by the death of her father, as am I. We quickly steered the conversation into a more light tone, talking about all manner of things; the new recruits, progress on the Avenger and just general life stuff, whatever that might be in a situation like we’re in. I didn’t bring up my feelings about my mortality, hopefully I will get a chance to someday. Lily and her father took me in when I had nowhere else to go. The time I spent on, or in, the Elpis was life changing, I finally had a purpose, an ability to do something, for earth and humanity, not just myself. And then came the Avenger, Tygen, Central and at last the Commander. It was then I knew that XCOM had a chance to win this. I just want to say that the ti.. Sorry about that. Could I have been the one who's picture is up on the memorial wall? I never actually thought about it that way. Nevertheless, its now my job to focus my attention to our current project. Its been a week for me aboard the Avenger, and my time has been spent assisting with the development of "mag weapons." Hopefully with these, there will be fewer casualties.
+darkpendalum Guys, we need a blog where most soldiers post. Someone make a walkthrough with everyone acting in it. No random soldiers, every soldier, engineer and personel should have real people blogging behind them every once in a while. Oh my god RolePlaying on the next level.
Damn, set on fire by exploding chunks of a vending machine AND poisoned by a Viper. That must've been an extremely excruciating way to go. Rest in peace, Sergeant Reed. I think Luce might've had a PTSD flashback to when he was set on fire in the first war, since he's the "Old Timer". Oh, and did you notice the name of that operation? POISONED DIRGE. A little bit too on the nose there, Central.
+TheMarg0r Yep. I see him hitting the bottle hard, remembering names that were on a DIFFERENT memorial wall. It doesn't matter what weapons are used, or who the foe is, or if the cause is righteous or not. War is hell. So go hug a veteran today. Odds are, they need it.

The troops, in hindsight, never would have guessed how telling "Poison Dirge" would be.... Singer did not realize how quickly the fire was overloading the vending machine. A small explosion set her red and white uniform on fire; it was haunting how closely she resembled a match.... She screamed in agony as the electrical flames tore her skin apart, alerting the viper that was standing off with Aeneas at the opposite end of the alley. The snake directed her attention towards the writhing grenadier and it promised itself that this rebel would die now. Very painfully. The viper belched and spat into Singer's cover and Singer was covered in a sickly green poison. The pain became unreal. Controlling whatever was left of her muscles she unleashed a final volley unto the sadistic alien, rupturing its scales, and killing it. The synergy of the fire and the toxins melted her flesh into sludge and her screams pierced the battlefield. She dove into the nearest doorway and thrashed herself against the floor. As her cries for help began to quiet, a faint, dreamy light from Old Timer's drone shined above her. With no rain of medical foam to shower her, the soft light called for her to go. Old Timer bit back tears knowing that he made a mistake not equipping his drone with the necessary first-aid protocols. He did all that he thought would've helped Reed survive just a little bit longer. "NO!" The frantic specialist shouted. "THIS ISN'T RIGHT!!" He charged towards Singer's charred body only to be burned himself. "Please... No..." As the rangers pushed forward Nora thought back to her first mission. Singer had become the close friend who would never stop bragging about Nora's aim afterwards. It was because of her gushing that Nora decided to become a sniper. Nobody deserved to die the way Sergeant Reed did. Nobody. Jahana Locksley, audio diary: Singer is dead. Samantha Reed. I need to remember that. I have not yet asked for the details, and I was at medbay when it happened, so no one told me right away. But from what I gathered, it was slow and painful. People coming into my life, being there for a few days or weeks or months, and then gone... will it always be like that? I can't remember a single human being that has been with me, been a part of my life, for longer than a year. I wonder how it would feel to lose someone after so long.
I remember reading that if someone has a status such as poison or burn, that you could set up an extraction zone so that he/she will be saved. Sure they won't be with you for the mission, but they won't die.
Andromeda's logs #1 I haven't been here for long and tensions are already high. Having looked at the other soldiers, I can tell I'm not the strongest or the bravest. Which if fine, that's not I'm aiming for. As long as I can help out, I'll be fine. The last thing I want is to be a load or a burden. My problems are minuscule in the grand scheme of things though. The squad came back looking very dejected, and there was an empty seat in the deployment jet. I can tell the commander isn't too pleased about having lost a person. I feel a bit bad about my hair comment now though. I'd sooner lose my hair than my life. I ought to stop being so petty.
Goodbye my little Singer.. :'( I will post the biography I wrote for her here if you'd like to read it: There is no record of Samantha's whereabouts before she joined the crew on the Elpis. Helping the resistance locate and secure the avenger; she grew close to Lily Shen, the two becoming friends. And she is said to be one of the last people to speak with the elder DR. Shen before his passing. Nicknamed "Singer" after her great-grandmother, one of the most famous entertainers in North America during the 1930's. Rest in Peace, Sammy. You will be missed.
"Fire is bad." Are you fucking shitting me?! The note to other operatives and especially to our own "Commander" should be "Bring medkits on your missions!" Reed was good. She hardly ever missed, didn't talk shit (like some of the other soldiers sometimes do) and even withstood a psionic attack from a sectoid. On top of all that she was also pretty. So much potential - wasted... (strange how much one can actually get emotionally attached to these virtual characters... fuck this, where's my booze?)
+s0me1up I agree with the note for the commander but the note for other operatives should be: "When you are on fire use your damn common sense! get on the ground and start rolling!"
journal of Rookie John Parks: We need to stop the Commander from writing epitaphs. Some of the soldiers have locked themselves in their quarters, I hear sobbing, and I can't find the whiskey, rum, or the moonshine the guys in engineering made from paint thinner and Sectoid brain juice.
Goooooooooooooo Nora! Down with the alien patriarchy! Down with the Elders!! Also, hope you've learned your lesson about Medikits now... ALWAYS bring at least one, if only for situations like Burn/Poison!
"Deliver me from my enemies, O God; be my fortress against those who are attacking me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from those who are after my blood" --- Whispered by John "The Pious" Aeneas before descending from the Skyranger.
Does it bother anyone else they jump onto the ropes at the start of the mission? Seems incredibility irresponsible for any number of reasons. They all jump the same time, hope two people don't go for the same rope, what happens when they start swinging into each other etc.
+ShadzWins just cause something is fiction doesn't mean they can get away with anything just by saying it isn't real.. the fiction here is aliens and advanced technology. soldiers pulling risky moves to look cool doesn't fit either of those. I guess your real point was that it's a really small issue, with which I agree, but I really dislike the "it's not real, so it's okay"-argument.
Hey, they're a team of highly trained professionals. I'm sure they've had enough downtime to establish rope skills, and created an order of who jumps for which rope. You gotta have faith.
Awesome LP! R.I.P. "T-Shirt". She was awesome. On the lighter side, I can just imagine Angry Joe's rant... He joined the resistance probably hoping to be a Heavy Grenadier blowing Aliens to pieces. Instead he has been stuck on Viscera Cleanup Detail for months.
When the commander went back to base and read her will (as all XCOM soldiers are asked to make before their first mission) he found that her final request was to advance XCOM's field medical abilities to save those in danger after her.
27:43 Poison and fire, too much for one person to handle (especially when your squad has no healing abilities whatsoever for some reason). Note to other operatives: Fire is bad, but evacs are good.
Ffs, Reed was one of my early favourites as well. Slim girl wearing nothing but a shirt and a wielding a giant fuck-off MG. Shrugging off attempted panics and never afraid to lead the assault. Really grim way to go too. RIP Samantha ;(
Reed was my favorite of this group, she looked a lot like a character I created for my campaign, Kira Carsen. Still hoping my guy gets in, preferably as a soldier but I have some good ideas for logs for just about anything.
Oh, Chris, you DO know that the disorientation from flashbangs removes the enemies Melee and Psychic abilities, rigth? That Lancer never had the option to charge you...
@ChristopherOdd Just a heads up, one helpful thing I found out earlier on is EVAC. On most missions, you can actually call an EVAC point to retreat injured soldiers. I believe you still had your EVAC up when Reed was set aflame. Besides that, I enjoy watching your videos and learning how to employ some of your strategies in my own game. Keep up the good work!
+Kyle Sanborn In a hack enemy relay or destroy enemy relay mission, sure, you can evac once you've met the first objective, all you'll miss out on is some extra XP and all the corpses (but you keep any loot you picked up beforehand). But on a defend relay mission you have to take out all the enemies otherwise the mission fails and in this case the avatar project would have gotten another block added, which is something you really want to avoid. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" I believe a famous figure once said...
Journal of Mayu Polo, Entry 45- It was a heavy blow to my heart when Reed died. She was a good soldier. And an even better student. To think that i would outlive her, of all people. i suppose that these things do happen, regardless of age. the good always die young. if only i had been a better teacher... Alas, it was not to be. We will all miss you, child. I will miss you... these shots will be for you, child.
Last will and testament of Samantha Reed. Bit stupid, really. Writing a will, I mean. I haven't got anything that anyone would want really. Except my gun. Polo can have that. Guess I'm writing this because I want to jot down some thoughts in case something happens to me. Not saying it will, mind, but just in case. If I'm honest, joining XCOM was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was born after the aliens invaded Earth, so my earliest memory is running away from those ADVENT troopers after nicking some food. Then I found Polo, and he took me in, away from the gangs and the police. Taught me how read and write. He comes off a bit as a psycho, but he's a nice guy underneath. I followed him all the way to XCOM. It was like a dream come true. I feel valued here, and For the first time I've made a bunch of friends. Not bad for some street kid with no future, eh? I know this dream has to end some day. One day one of us is going to die. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
Last will and testament of Samantha Reed, second draft. Everything I said in the last one stays. I just want to add a bit more. It feels weird. Going on a mission without Polo. As far as I remember the only good times I had before joining XCOM were with him. Not saying we love each other, we're not that bloody fancy, but we do have an attachment. He's been there for me, and I was there for him. End of. Bradford predicted that we might bump into some of them snake people on this mission. I don't like them. I remember once I saw a riot go past the gutter that I chose to sleep in for the night. I didn't care at the time, I just wanted to get some sleep. When ADVENT decided to put them down they used some of those snakes to pull out the ringleaders using their tongues. I was so scared I ran. One of the snakes must have thought I was important and was about to get me when an officer stopped him. If I ever meet that officer again I'd like to shake her by the hand. I might not shoot her too!
Last will and testament of Samantha Reed, final draft. I'm a goner. One of those snakes filled me up with some poison. Can't tell if I'm dying of that or the irony. Still managed to nail that bastard though. I'm writing this as best as I can, but my hands are getting cold. Funny. Wasn't I on fire a few seconds ago? Must be the poison. I don't regret anything. Joining XCOM was the best thing I've ever done. I don't care about the politics or the ideolo-... Ideol-... Ideas, but for once in my life I was treated as an equal, and even a friend. It felt great. Bloody hell, I had a sad life. Hey, Polo. Take care of my gun, will you?
I'm obsessed with your Let's Play. I hope this isn't the only playthrough you do. You are a great player and I learn a lot from watching you. Definitely the most entertaining/humble Xcom RUclipsr. That's appreciated. Thanks!
35:41 SNERK at the 'maaaaaaybe bring a medkit' as the blood of your lost trooper due to NOT ever taking medkits is still on your hands... "Maaaaaaaaaaybe..." :)
I love how its a bar/memorial.. Like: "Here is your dead friend. Hey, if you want to drink your sadness away, beers are 1,50" that's good marketing right there
This is fun to watch, thanks. I really want to play XCOM 2 but my laptop is giving up despite having good specs and being less than 2 years old, so I was looking for a good playthrough - yours has everything I was looking for (comprehensive and fun commentary, risk, and a fun community, seeing all those customised characters!) :) so, thank you!
Weird, at 29:25 you're at the supply drop and it's the 19th, then it jumps to the 20th in flight, and it's the 19th again when you land at the Black Market. Worth looking into?
RIP Samantha Reed but she's not irreplaceable like Nora but notice some laziness by the commander : not evacuates Reed and ignoring the danger of burning vending machine. Anyway i really enjoy this series..
"Can they not pick loot up while they're on fire?" Nah, I assume they can't pick loot up through walls. 'Cause like, yeah, the yellow "pick up loot" zone did extend to where she was standing, but the actual loot itself was dropped outside the building.
Damn you didn't had to lose reed there if you just used sniper. Nora was sitting down there doing nothing for at least 2 turns. Move those things in position to shoot. Also Grelite could have been closer to viper so you would have two shotguns on it.
Please add some scars to Luce to symbolize that he was being burned alive. Also: Let our hearts be hardened, for we've seen the cruelty presented by advent. They lit one of our sisters on fire, poisoned the blood that flows through her and hoped she would die the meek death of a coward. Reed died the death of a hero - and died avenging herself against the foul serpent that would be her slayer. Let us learn from this as well. Medical gremlins and medical supplies should be brought on missions now
Same here, especially if your character manages to make it into the series. I sent one named Swift Wind and would love to see him be chosen. But he can't prioritize to specific people so I will gladly wait for my opportunity. Until then, good luck Commander Odd.
Running head first at an enemy and slashing them dead with a giant sword! What is this Call of Duty? lol Personally I would to see a Warhammer 40K (or Necromunda) version of this game.
I love your XCOM videos. I have spent almost the entire Sunday watching yours and I have subbed you too. But I really must say you make this look way easier than it actually is. I played the first mission in XCOM 2 where you have to get the power source yesterday and I got smoked at least 4 times and that's on Commander difficulty without Ironman. After I did manage it after like an hour I still had 2 gravely wounded soldiers. Looks like I have a long way to go before I should even think about a Legend Ironman playthrough.
If that ever happens to someone else, you can always evac! Any mission without a set evac point, you can set an evac every 2-3 turns(not sure the exact number, but you can place one multiple times and they overwrite each other). If someone is bleeding out, burning, poisoned, whatever. You can carry them if they are bleeding out(careful, it will also evac the person carrying them)and you can simply evac the one person if you have control of them. You can even do it if you've already spent all of that character's action points for the turn. Just place the evac with another character. Don't let the burn get them.
I like how Wild leans over just near Grelite when it's her turn for overwatch. "Yeah, you missed, now let me show you how it's done." *Hits the enemy with her revolver*
On the more positive side, I'm absolutely loving everything about your playthrough! Especially the squad! I think Nora might make a really cool gunslinger.
Entry #27:......GODDAMMIT!! Another one...another casualty I this fucking war. Its not easy. It never was easy. I still don't know what is tougher sending out the kids on suicide missions every other day or being forced to watch as they die to those abominations. Reed. She didn't go out without a fight, that is sure as hell the truth. Half her face burned off, and only strands of muscle left on her shooting arm and she still managed to prop her auto-cannon up on that windowsill to hose that snake bitch down before succumbing to the poison. I can't even imagine the amount of heart and willpower that took. The kid...no, the sergeant was a promising individual and an invaluable asset to her team. Multiple successful missions, kills numbering in the double digits, a commanding presence and very profound ability to lead while on duty, and bubbly personality so bright, it could bring a smile to even Bradford's scarred mug. I never would have imagined that that one punkish little recruit in the red and white would have ever managed to come so far and become such a critical, respected and... loved member of XCOM. I still wonder how someone so small could lug that big fucking gun off the rack. I... I don't know how much longer I can keep this up... It just keeps getting harder. This war is a very long way from ending and till then, people like Sam are just going to keep on dying. However as long as people like Samantha "Singer" Reed, keep on fighting, I will do the same on my end. I will make sure that the sacrifices of people like "Singer" aren't in vain. Vigilo Confido-The Commander
I have watched this several times and every time all I can think is there is a evac button at the top right of the screen he could have saved her at any time and instead watched her burn this is one of the few episodes of all the series that chaps my ass because of how long he had to do anything about it .
17:42 "we're in a bit of trouble there..." is definitely a fitting epitaph for our fallen trooper. (Course, with as many tough fights already so far in this LP on this setting, you're doing amazingly well on NOT losing troops. And anyone who whine about any losses, needs to go back and play the original UFO defense, to be reminded about what the battles USED to be like. :) )
wow u must have no free time u have uploaded 3 xcom 2 videos evey 5 hours, i really thank you for the awesome content. keep up the good work and dont push uploading to crazy.
Well everytime you don't bring a Medkit RNJesus kills a high rank trooper. With medkits it's always better to have them and not nedd them, than the other way around.
*Spoilers for this episode* Rip my favorite character... until I come in of course... because Christopher is totally going to add me to the character pool... right Chris?... right...?
Samantha Reed, died to RNG fire started by a shot from a Viper. And the commanders specialty of ignoring the existence of medikits.
+1ch4lM Not to mention the commander purposely equipt her with shirt...and not armor.
+Bayu Purwono That shirt is armor.
+Bayu Purwono Clearly you have not played warhammer 40k, a t-shirt can be more effective than armour designed to stand up to anti-tank weapons.
+1ch4lM She died because comander was to lazy to step out with her shoot and hen call EVAC on her to get her into that Firebrand First aid bay. Her live was wasted.

does hunker down put out fire?

very nice and respectful. bit detailed though.
Her Epitaph should of read "note to the commander: Medkits are a thing".

I can't remember a single human being that has been with me, been a part of my life, for longer than a year. I wonder how it would feel to lose someone after so long.
I had a feeling the first death would be the redshirt
Lol nice Star Trek reference
+Mayer Yedid That's some coincidence
+Mayer Yedid The curse continued!
+Mayer Yedid Could have saved her too with the evac
+Timo Rutanen DAMN YOU RED SHIRT CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mission name: Poison dirge
Dirge:
a lament for the dead, especially one forming part of a funeral rite.
Why, game. Why.
I remember reading that if someone has a status such as poison or burn, that you could set up an extraction zone so that he/she will be saved. Sure they won't be with you for the mission, but they won't die.
anyone else notice that nora hasn't missed a single shot ever.
I've noticed. Lets just not jinx it for her next operation.
Dude I know, I didn't want to say anything, buy I was I kinda hoping he would make her into a gunslinger.
angry feminist power?
+kane bekkattla
And her reward? He replaced her again for the next operation. There really is no pleasing him. :P
+Oliver H and looking how many shots locksley missed in comparison his enthusiasm for her seems a bit weird. :-p
Of course he buys a medkit AFTER he loses his first soldier T_T
Andromeda's logs #1
I haven't been here for long and tensions are already high.
I will post the biography I wrote for her here if you'd like to read it:
There is no record of Samantha's whereabouts before she joined the crew on the Elpis.
AwkwardMassEffectFan thank you for posting this.
The commander failed her. May she rest in peace 🙏
"Fire is bad."
Are you fucking shitting me?!
The note to other operatives and especially to our own "Commander" should be "Bring medkits on your missions!"
Reed was good.
Some of the soldiers have locked themselves in their quarters, I hear sobbing, and I can't find the whiskey, rum, or the moonshine the guys in engineering made from paint thinner and Sectoid brain juice.
where is the nora wild fanclub and how do I join it?
Btw Who made Nora Wild? Which RUclipsr idoes she belong to?
Goooooooooooooo Nora! Down with the alien patriarchy! Down with the Elders!!
Also, hope you've learned your lesson about Medikits now... ALWAYS bring at least one, if only for situations like Burn/Poison!
BotanicalCreature or he could have evacuated it automatically gets rid of burning and Poison.
Nora the feminist
Loss of Samantha was your fault, you really need to equip one person with a medkit for missions.
And I know this is six months old but whatever :P
And I'm 2yrs late commenting this
Faez recovery I’m 3 years late to the original comment and 8 months late to this one
Five years late bruh
@@VenomGamingCenter And I know this is six years old but whatever 😁 lol
"Deliver me from my enemies, O God;
be my fortress against those who are attacking me.
Deliver me from evildoers
and save me from those who are after my blood"
--- Whispered by John "The Pious" Aeneas before descending from the Skyranger.
Does it bother anyone else they jump onto the ropes at the start of the mission? Seems incredibility irresponsible for any number of reasons. They all jump the same time, hope two people don't go for the same rope, what happens when they start swinging into each other etc.
+Aj Koorstra The game is about aliens that can control minds, turning people into giant monsters and you worry about unrealistic rope extraction?
+ShadzWins just cause something is fiction doesn't mean they can get away with anything just by saying it isn't real.. the fiction here is aliens and advanced technology. soldiers pulling risky moves to look cool doesn't fit either of those. I guess your real point was that it's a really small issue, with which I agree, but I really dislike the "it's not real, so it's okay"-argument.
Especially since there are only four ropes for five squad members. I'm no health and safety Nazi, but...
Thats part of their training. I mean, that perfect coordinated jump off the skyranger doesnt come naturally you know?
Hey, they're a team of highly trained professionals. I'm sure they've had enough downtime to establish rope skills, and created an order of who jumps for which rope. You gotta have faith.
Lol on Nora and Albert over watch it looked like she used Albert shoulder to steady her pistol anyone think so to ?
On minuet 21
+jacob lopez
*Albert*: Damn it!!
*Nora*: Allow me mister...
(Lands a single shot with her pistol).
+Dylan Walsh lol
+Dylan Walsh hahaha
+jacob lopez 21:27 it was a glitch.... but it was awesome
Awesome LP! R.I.P. "T-Shirt". She was awesome. On the lighter side, I can just imagine Angry Joe's rant... He joined the resistance probably hoping to be a Heavy Grenadier blowing Aliens to pieces. Instead he has been stuck on Viscera Cleanup Detail for months.
Not bringing even a single medkit or healing protocol specialists is a good way to go
When the commander went back to base and read her will (as all XCOM soldiers are asked to make before their first mission) he found that her final request was to advance XCOM's field medical abilities to save those in danger after her.
That's a very horrible way to die. Dying because of status effect is the worse way for one to go. Ugh.
+Yuna Blaze At least she avenged herself, took the viper down with her.
How the hell does a vending machine get caught on fire exactly?
+PoisoningShadow671 And the brand is called....Nuka-Cola
+Cooler 1478 Maybe in the future they sell high proof alcoholic beverages on vending machines :D
Entropy3ko lol
The note to other operatives and to you should have been : NEVER go in a mission without a Medikit!
Instead of those flashbangs which are just an enormous waste of space.
@@vladdracul5072 flashbangs are pretty useful but I would never go on a mission without a medkit
27:43 Poison and fire, too much for one person to handle (especially when your squad has no healing abilities whatsoever for some reason). Note to other operatives: Fire is bad, but evacs are good.
1. Why didn't you bring a medkit?
2. Why are you not using the sword skill with Grelite? It's a 100% hit!
3. Why didn't you evac Reed?
Ffs, Reed was one of my early favourites as well. Slim girl wearing nothing but a shirt and a wielding a giant fuck-off MG. Shrugging off attempted panics and never afraid to lead the assault. Really grim way to go too. RIP Samantha ;(
- High priority mission
- Just has to protect a device
- Accidentally sets half squad on fire
10/8 would attend funerals again
**Instructions unclear, ended up setting two people on fire**
RIP Samantha
@@victuz tbh the second one set himself on fire after he panicked because samantha died in a fire.
With the Rangers skillset, I don't really see the danger in the first place, but, yea.
+Kyle Sanborn Although maybe he could have put up an evac zone, evacced *only* Reed and kept everyone else fighting. Maybe that would have worked?
+Sharkman Sorry I should've clarified. I meant you can EVAC one soldier while the rest remain in combat.
Well Samantha was pushing it by going into battle with just a t-shirt, to be fair :D
To bad though she was a pretty cool character
"Samantha Reed is no longer burning."
Oh, Xcom.
I would prefer if there were no spoilers in the titles. Everything else about these videos are great.
Wah wah quit your complai... wait I totally agree.
Completely agree.
+Alexander Fuog I was actually going to ask about this. I'm gonna remove it.
+ChristopherOdd make it a bit vague
+ChristopherOdd Thanks Odd.
Thomas Bouric By far the best one I've seen!
I'm obsessed with your Let's Play. I hope this isn't the only playthrough you do. You are a great player and I learn a lot from watching you. Definitely the most entertaining/humble Xcom RUclipsr. That's appreciated. Thanks!
Reed, rest in peace, warrior of humanity
Better epitaph: Poison and fire, greater honors none higher. A grenadier of high regard, though the poisonous dirge she found too hard.
You should be a poet
She was my favorite. Your T-Shirt was Legend.
I miss her :(
I like how Nora was all like, "Move aside and let me show you how it's done"
I'm sorry Reed left us. And in such a horrible way, too!
He could have potentially saved Reed and prevented the fire damage dealt to Old Timer if, you know, HAD MOVED THEM OUT OF THE BURNING BUILDING!
I think Reeds Epitaph should be "Hell have no fury than an alien killer in a teeshirt"
Hey, if you want to drink your sadness away, beers are 1,50" that's good marketing right there
Soldier epitaphs are...a very powerful addition to this game from an immersion standpoint.
Time zones?
RIP Samantha Reed but she's not irreplaceable like Nora but notice some laziness by the commander : not evacuates Reed and ignoring the danger of burning vending machine. Anyway i really enjoy this series..
Years late*
You gotta move faster than that son, speed is life kid -viper
I love how at 21:28 Nora steps in and says "let me show you how it's done"
"Can they not pick loot up while they're on fire?"
Nah, I assume they can't pick loot up through walls. 'Cause like, yeah, the yellow "pick up loot" zone did extend to where she was standing, but the actual loot itself was dropped outside the building.
so glad to see Nora back. last time we saw her she crit shot 3 times killing three enemies. She is absolutely savage.
Damn you didn't had to lose reed there if you just used sniper. Nora was sitting down there doing nothing for at least 2 turns.
Move those things in position to shoot. Also Grelite could have been closer to viper so you would have two shotguns on it.
A fellow Canadian down. Wipe's tears away. Send her home and down the highway of hero's. Much love, Samantha Reed
Medical gremlins and medical supplies should be brought on missions now
20:06 I guess you could say she...
Passed the torch
Sorry
Each part of your Xcom 2 playthrough just makes me want to watch more...
What is this Call of Duty? lol
Personally I would to see a Warhammer 40K (or Necromunda) version of this game.
It wouldnt ne fair astartes would Rip advent in pieces in seconds
nooo I can't believe you didn't think of evacuating that poor Samantha! It was her only and sure chance of surviving!
reed was my favourite.
Rest In Peace...
you were good Reed, real good. maybe even the best.
That's why wearing a T-shirt in a combat zone as armor is a bad choice :s
Samantha Reed: Went out like a champ unloading every round she had before finally succumbing to the trials of war. GoodGame, girl.
Samantha Reed was one of my favorites! You should have made some Medkits even if you don't think you'll need them.
Love your stuff Odd. Got my XCOM 2 fix while my graphics card is on its way. Thank you :D
Samantha is now singing with angels R.I.P
On the more positive side, I'm absolutely loving everything about your playthrough! Especially the squad!
I think Nora might make a really cool gunslinger.
Poison Dirge... fitting title really...
I had a feeling this would happen the very moment you gave her that red shirt. Classic mistake my friend ;)
14:52
Me: "The car bro, the car!"
you have the best xcom 2 stream(well gaming stream) out that i've seen. keep your formula up
Well miss you singer you were with us for as long as you could....you did all you could
I think the only time someone would grab loot while on fire is in D&D. Especially in the campaign I'm in right now...
Pro tip: Being poisoned AND on fire is bad.
I have watched this several times and every time all I can think is there is a evac button at the top right of the screen he could have saved her at any time and instead watched her burn this is one of the few episodes of all the series that chaps my ass because of how long he had to do anything about it .
Poisoned Dirge was too right of a mission name.
None of them smiling after that one. Love the detail in this game.
Never before has a mission title been more appropriate. "Poison dirge"...
Pro Tip: Evac is always available.
Also your no-medkit luck had to run out eventually. :P
When are you sharing character pools. Or have you done that?
A moment of silence ....... We're gonna miss you Singer.
It's been twenty years, why are there still so many abandoned cars lying around? THAT CAN STILL EXPLODE!
Man.....Reed was my favorite
*Spoilers for this episode*
Rip my favorite character... until I come in of course... because Christopher is totally going to add me to the character pool... right Chris?... right...?
Rip Sgt Reed. She gave it all on my sons birthday. 04/19
a Bar scene where Wild and Locksley lament over the lost operative would be interesting
