I am grateful for all the efforts my Drs and nurses . Diagnosed Stage 4 Melanoma in March of 2020 . They focused Truebeam on my brain tumors and they are gone . They put me on Opdivo and my oncologist have said " It seemingly works on you " . All I can say to .. There is hope.. Living proof

Hi Margaret. We're sorry to hear about your husband. Here's more information on immunotherapy for melanoma to discuss with the care team: www.cancerresearch.org/immunotherapy/cancer-types/melanoma

I am Stage 4 Melanoma. .3 brain tumors . Diagnosed back in early 2020 . Told awhile back . They didn't expect me to live out that summer . Mine started under the thumbnail in 2018 and told it was a Fungal infection . After diagnosis . I was immediately put on Opdivo . Had my brain tumors blasted with Truebeam and now they are undetectable . I go tomorrow for my 30th infusion . My oncologist has said " obviously Opdivo works n you " and said blessed and amazed . I believe I am part of these clinical trials . Helping raise the number of survivors .. I guess I am here to pass on hope .

@@margaretmaskara9002 Just got back from my Lab/ Visit / Infusion at The Cancer Center ..To date I have had 2 PET . 4 CT scans and every 3 months an MRI . One thing I have been told . That though I am Stage 4 it will never be deemed in remission . Right now it's classified as No Evidence of Disease . One thing that has helped me cope is laughter . If I can get the Drs or nurses laughing . I laugh. I believe that helps not only with dealing but helps the overall process . Years ago I would have never dreamed that I would hear " You have cancer " Now I know and through this journey I am on . I feel it's part of life to spread hope . I hope others that get The News might read this one day and make them Believe they can get through it .. Peace ..

I was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in early July 2022. A lump under my arm was discovered and found to be malignant. To date, the source of the melanoma was never found. I am being treated with immunotherapy. After only two immunology infusions the lump under my arm had shrunk 50%. A few months later the lump had completely vanished. In late January 2023, however, I was diagnosed with both bronchitis and double pneumonia and my immunology infusions were temporarily suspended I have been prescribed prednisone until my lung symptoms clear up. I am otherwise in good health, and quite strong, but have lost 30 lbs since last July. I am 75 and remain positive. Is there any advice you can pass on? Thank you.
