The closer you are with God, the more spiritual warfare comes your way. So, think of it this way, to comfort you in remembrance that you are the Child of God, in your weakness, God’s strength is shown. If you wanna be a soldier of Christ, fasten up your armor with Biblical promises. Read how the prophets and saints held themselves within God’s protection. My strongest armor, is being dead in Christ. If you make our Lord, your most precious treasure, your reason to live, you will hope for death, because this world has nothing for you, and you will become fearless. Challenges become a process of knighthood in God’s army. We should be as loyal to Him, as humanly possible. His love, grace, and mercy, is worth more than anything imaginable. Peace be unto you, Child of God. Unified in the body of Christ. Know thy self, our truest beloved said to us. Let the Holy Spirit fill you up and guide you. ❤
Another interesting way David brings of how Christ in His mercy died for us while we were yet helpless sinners - burning in the hands of an angry God because of our rebellion and sin - saved by His mercy and love in that Jesus raised His hand, volunteered, I will take their place. We all deserve HELL folks. No questions asked, no arguments can be made to defend one without Christ to go directly there. We all seek our own way, and do our own thing (its even written on highway billboards - you be you - whatever that means). We can do nothing else but be what we are, sinners by nature. So in this life we will continually live with sin in and around us. Some manage it better, they confess their sin, recognize their need for a Savior, and keep in prayerful confession, adoration, and humble grateful worship to the one who pulled us out of such fires. Others know it exists, but do nothing to correct it, they just live with it as this is the way life will be and recognize no need for a Savior, much less confession, no guilt, no feeling of wrongdoing in their souls, blackened til burnt and forgotten. Glory be to Jesus who saves us continually.
The devil well he knows God's will and ways, yet in His pride and rebellion lke notches on his belt, he tries to get many humans to forget God, neglect God, doubt God. Like He said to Eve, has God said, he instills doubt, as if we can do better? I love how David says, I know who he is burnt or charred, he is what I knew he would be (especially after you were done with him), so I had mercy on Him. Of course he is stained. All men's souls are blackened without the crimson of Christ, who cleanses us whiter than snow. That said, What can you say to that God tells Satan, call your bluff, He defends those whom He has chosen and saved. It is evil enough for the enemy to confuse one, but then to accuse him, that is double dare dirty pool. He does not play fair nor on a level playing field does he? God evens the score for the hopeless believer. We are weak, but He is strong. It is disturbing how much we fear and give allegiance to the distractor, and not focus in joy, thankfulness and glory to the One who saves us. We have to see the difference, religion or relationship. One keeps us in bondage (liturgies taught) the other frees us. Now no condemnation. In Christ we are free. Nothing separates us from God's love. Faith, Hope and love, at the end of the day, one wins out, His love for us when and while we were still helpless.
This is such an interesting scripture. If you had not explained the meaning of the word “brand”, I would never have understood the message. After listening to the video 4-5 times I barely got my head wrapped around it. But I actually did grasp the meaning and the thought conveyed. However when I tried to explain it to hubby, I was at a loss to find the right words to do so. Anyway thanks so much for your commentary that illuminates the beautiful words of God.
The morning of the 8th, I had a dream of a little girl looking at light in the air and giggling, it caught my attention and I followed her gaze. I saw the light and I reached out to touch it. It morphed into licks of fire in my hand, forming into a cross on my hand. I held onto it and it was soft and sturdy, turning into a colorful toy. I looked over to my side and I saw several hands reaching out to the ceiling (they were indoors) in praise, and light was shining down on them. There seemed to be golden lights all around, it looked familiar, possibly a stock photo I happened upon. I haven’t had dreams in years of anything remotely spiritual until now. I’ve been begging for morsels, I’m hungry for Him. I asked Him what my dream means coming from Him. I don’t care to hear anything not from the Bible. I pray for the down pouring of the Holy Spirit on all His children. May He be amplified in us, may we walk closely in His Holiness, so people witness the grace that overflows, touching all that exchange with a child of His light. I desire to be locked into the secret place with the Lord, so know His Will in all things, all the days of my life. Amen Amen ❤
Your dream description paints a beautiful picture and perhaps symbolizes a vision of heavenly things. I’ve had a few dreams of my deceased family members. In each instance they were totally happy, one when my deceased mother-in-law sat on the side of my bed. She wore pink pants and a pink and white striped shirt. All these dreams were comforting as if to let me know they were happy in their afterlife. I don’t know if those dreams were memories from the past, or if they were a heavenly gift of God. I don’t generally attach much meaning to dreams, but I think it’s still possible that God wanted to let me know my loved ones were happy. I prefer to give that possibility serious consideration.
