Minimum Wage Debate Continues As Commission Invites Objections

  • In response to objections about the recommended minimum wage, Chair of the Minimum Wage & Equal Wages Commission, Lawrence Poyotte, says that the $6.50 per hour- figure was not taken out of thin air. He made the comment at a stakeholder consultation on the draft order of the proposed minimum wage which was held on Wednesday, at the Finance Administrative Center.

    Ms Cadasse needs to let her members know that they should stop selling stale bread to the consumers.The price of bread has increased yet still this particular bakery keeps selling stale bread...

    It should be at least $12. Per hour.
    This would be good for the rising cost of living.

    $6.50 an hour..... that sounds very good.
