The voltage is too high for a regular lead battery. Check the battery voltage. It should not go over 14.45V.

The yellow wires caught fire an smelled like electrical fire. It will cause your battery not to charge.

Did it melt the connection at you stator to vr plug down by the oil filter at the bottom of the bike?
