Today we look at Pianoverse, a fresh new piano plugin series from IK Multimedia.
There are 8 unique pianos in the Pianoverse series. In this video we begin exploring the Concert Grand YF3 and take a look at the features offered in the Pianoverse, and it's quite a lot. There is a ton of great sounding presets, reverbs, effects and piano sound customization. You can even adjust the harp resonance of the piano which is a wonderful feature.
I'm always on the lookout for a great sounding piano since it was my first instrument. I've played the piano and keyboard since the 90s so it's always a pleasure to discover what's new in the piano sampling and piano tech industry.
Watch the video and find out what I felt when playing the Pianoverse pianos.
    Happy listening!
Thanks for your support and wonderful comments,

Bought Pianoverse/Yamaha Grand on discount price, not subscription, and I love it. Such a clean, dry root sample (played by robots) with clever, lush effects added on. Great video 👍

You can buy them outright without subscription. I find the installation to be just fine. That is the way they do it. Do t be lazy if it isn’t cut and dry read up figure it out the more you do the less problems with your pc you will because you become one with your pc

Awesome demo! I noticed your piano is reversed-low keys are on the right and high notes on the left. Is this how you play or is the video reversed? Many thanks and new subscriber!

Thanks Steven, it's just reversed for the convenience to look better (more properly) in the image. It looked odd when it was original flip. ;) So I do play the piano with normal key layout. Thanks for the sub!

I still prefer Pianoteq which uses physical modelling. It barely takes any space on your drive and calculates the sound in realtime.
I doubt any sample based Piano can be more responsive than that.

For people with a preference for very realistic playability/response,
      there is Pianoteq.
For people with a preference for very realistic piano sound,
      here is Pianoverse.

@@kaisfp it’s obviously all about personal preference but, most of the Pianoteq models have been “authorised” by the manufacturers which, I assume, means they sound authentic. Having said that, in the end it’s all about what you as the player like. Pianoteq pianos can sound as horrible (broken) as they can sound pristine and each model comes with a bunch of variations and can blend different models (e.g. A Steinway with a Petrof). If you go for the Pro version, you get access to hundreds of parameters , like individual string tuning, hammer settings etc so, it’s much more than just being able to play a certain piano model.

That's the problem when you get lost in theory and trust the technical data more than your ears.@@marcdeschryver7687

Sounds amazing but its another subscription plan 😥

Yeah it's super inspiring. Back to playing 😄 You can buy the pianos separately too, if subscription plan is not your thing. The price per piano is similar to what you would pay for, say, NI The Gentleman. But I feel Pianoverse is on another level quality wise. Can't wait to try it out with a weighted 88 keys soon.

Apologies I saw the "all access plans starting from" at the top of the plug-in and wrongly assumed. @@MattiasHolmgren

You can buy the pianos individually and own them.
