Trivia:
The series was due to be released in 2023, but showrunners Benioff and Weiss insisted on filming one more scene that wasn't originally on the script. Right around that time the Hollywood strike of 2023 started, and it delayed the filming of this scene in a few months, yet Benioff and Weiss insisted this scene must be added. Ultimately, the scene was filmed after the strike and the show moved for a March 2024 release only because of that one scene.

3 body problem is such a intriguing series. Will season 2 be as good?

In my opinion, I think that the first book(3 Body problem), was from episode 1 to episode 5.
I strongly believe that episode 6, 7 & 8 were buildups for season 2. In other words, I suspect that if season 2 drops, the action will start immediately, without us having time to catch our breath.
It reminds me, of season 6 of Game of Thrones. It was slow going, until episode 8 and Arya vs the Waif. We weren't able to catch our breath(Battle of the Bastards & Winds of Winter), until season 7 episode 1 premiere.
It's been almost 2 months, and Netflix still has not announced a greenlight, for the 2nd season. Even Game of Thrones season 1 averaged only 2 million viewers per episode and HBO greenlighted a 2nd season after the premiere episode. While 3 Body Problem hit 11 million in its 4 days of dropping on March 21. Since then I believe they've hit well over 30 million viewers. I don't get it.
I do find that, to be troubling.
I guess, let's hope for the best.
