3 reason to use the silencer 1-it makes your gun sound so good 2-it makes the gun sound lower so that it won't hurt your ear so you can turn up the game volume to hear footsteps better 3-is satisfying sound of hitmarker and killstreak and kill confirm
Silencers are good when you play agressive and run and gun. Usually smgs can be awesome with them. I read somewhere that silencer doesnt decrease the damage/range despite the stats.
I agree on the point of drones and range reduction it causes but on certain degree only. The drones are situational, can be killed and they have limited range and uptime. Range being reduced is my biggest gripe but in an AR it's not a problem since encounters happen mostly on medium ranges. It does reduce damage but not cuz of you equipping it the damage reduction is due to damage drop off mechanics in this game. Small map sizes is not much of a problem, make yourself scarce shoot, kill, relocate. They know where you were but not where you at and it is very useful in competitive/rank matches where kill streaks can't be obtained as fast as other modes and stealth is more valuable in both defense and offense. I personally use it for reason it looks great, makes weapon look good, it helps you not get detected in the modes i play in secure point and resource takeover easy to pick off enemies trying to interrupt my team and where offensive kill streaks is more valued, and it reduces visual noise... it reduces all the effects that's for me is annoying. If i sum it up it serves use but situational and by personal preference.

In this new version silencers are good, the sound is amazing, u only. Loose 1 range and 1 recoil but it doesn't feel like it. Also I don't see a dmg decrease but it does its job of silencing. Sometimes u won't hear an enemy behind a wall cause of it

silencers are more for sneak kill than front so i totally agreed with your opinion the huge down side of it is that reduces dmg and also range plus holding of the gun so silancers are usless
My possible Silencer set up Silencer + Detecting sight + Gear pouch and 2x Smoke nades Hiding behind smoke and shoot enemy through smoke and it's not show my position on minimap , hiding my muzzle flash but of course can be countered by Detecting sight , Spy Drone , UAV and any Drones or even nades :
Yeah this set up have huge adventage over people who don't have Detecting Sight (Especially Snipers who lacks of scope which can see people behind smoke) They can't see me but I can see them silencer hide my location on minimap include hide muzzle flash and bullet tracer so they'll harder to know where I'm shooting from in secure point smoke and prone then capture is really nice :D

I agree to a certain extent with a lot of this stuff, honestly I’d like to see a video about you making a test between a few different weapons and kinds, to see what the difference is, personally I like it better on my guns primarily due to the recoil reduction, I know it doesn’t say that, but I use it on my MP7 and holy crap it’s over powered lol. But I’d like to see you do a test on that gun and more to see if it’s just in my head or they actual make a difference !

Indirectly it does, it lowers your effective range which in turn lowers your damage at range. This game uses a weird range based damage model, however I will test it! :)
Its not that weird, many FPS use the same mechanic for the silencer. You sould be using silencer to speciphic guns: those with poor damage or low range or high range. In that way you wont feel the difference that much. For example: AUG, MSBS,P90,Vector,MP5,M4,Tar 21. Also a good drone that will imcrease your silenced gameplay dramaticaly is the UAV Jammer, because it denies all map-based Drones (UAV,Spy drone etc.) There is also a drone that masks your movement, the Jammer drone, but i think its bugged(well, i am certain)
Those are all very good points! The silencer does have it's places, like S&D where your life matters and with those drones that you mentioned it can be even more effective!

NICE VID i like silencer on mg3 it feels like 1 bullet kill but its not
I did some tests with the Suppressor the range reduction is negligible on ARs and it does not reduce your damage numbers on any weapon
It reduces your range number which in turn reduces damage :P

I prefer them for the noise and muzzle flash reduction, both of which distract me elsewise.
In some other games silencer reduces damage. I don't know about this game. Well a lot of things are hidden in this game.
