...something we eastern Orthodox Christians seem to forget or totally ignore, for whatever reason, in regards to Christian monarchies are concerned is the Ethiopian (Orthodox) Christian monarchy, namely Haile Selassie who was the 226th direct descendant of King Solomon of Israel.
He, like other Ethiopian kings and emperors took their title as The Lion of Judah.
In fact, one of his royal titles is Protector of the Oriental Orthodox Christian faith

Great podcast but I wish they'd joke around less and stick to the topic.
My unsolicited opinion is that they joke about things that make it SEEM like they are making fun of people who take the topic seriously, especially those of us who interpret the Bible in a literal, emmediate sense (as the Saints also did…), however I hope I am wrong about this.

My honest opinion is no one deserves to be overly dogmatic about divining the future. Christians should trust God. Full stop. Quit trying to dictate the future.

@@animula6908 Saving you looking it up, he was the Roman ruler in the East while Constantine was ruling in the West before he won through to be Imperator for the entire Empire. Licinius was a truly awful person and one of the worst persecutors of the Church.

It sounds from your comment like they trivialized a dogma of your denomination, and it’s as much about your ego taking it personally as it is about “the word of God.” I’m not saying I always appreciate the irreverent tone either, but it is a spiritual podcast for hipsters, so let’s just say it reminded all of us that Christianity is able to transcend denominational divisions when it comes to despising hipsters 😋❤

Like the content and the thorough method you are taking - but the compulsory joviality you are presenting it with is more than irritating! It is completely out of context which makes it almost impossible to stay and listen. Can you make a more " serious" version of it? So that the focus is not broken constantly?
yeah, it takes a while to settle into the topic and the personal joviality back and forth is fun but i tire of it after a while and it can go on for a while of late. Rein it in guys.

Nah, he's more like pre- representation of false prophet - writing materialistic books for children, ( he's originally historian...), and now promoting transhumanism everywhere and end of free will be technological means... he's only minion though, the two main figures - like antichrist and his false prophet will be hard to resist, hence big deception and falling away, antichrist will bring solutions to troubled world, ridden by crisis, he'll be like hero for all bringing peace to turn apart war driven world...false prophet will have means to perform signs and wonders - so much ppl are now prone to this ( they crave signs and wonders) that they'll be absolutely enchanted with this figure...for now field is getting for preparation for those ...

It is irritating to hear you talk as though John needed to have heard about the antichrist from Paul! Not from Jesus or the disciples? Jesus talks about gals messiahs and particularly one as he mentions Daniel’s prophet about him. It’s irritating because you skip the obvious and make stupid assessments like the folk who say 1 John ain’t talking about the antichrist just because he goes on to mention that there are some already present. 666 is gematria. Gematria was really, really popular in the Roman empire and it was used by pretty much everyone, jews, pagans, everyone. In Pompeii, there's graffiti that translates to "I love her whose number is 545".
It's not really a code as such, unless you also think Ronald Reagan was the anitchrist since his gematria is 666, which I mean, he could have been, depending on your politics. mine is 333, so maybe I'm only half evil.
