I watched Troy's highlights and caught the huskies playing when i could and this kid was a STUD! He is gonna get even better having to battle Dan for that starting spot. How about the Saints, Giants, and Falcons? All lost franchise QBs and became the worst teams in the league for years. Maybe it's you who has no clue how building a team works if you're questioning the Steelers' competence. They were 5 and 1 against the AFC North and made the playoffs. Watt plays, and they have a better chance at beating the Bills. Then, who knows what could have happened.

I have been screaming for years, even towards the end of Ben's tenure that until we can line up and get a yard when we need it we are not going anywhere. To me, the o-line had to be the top priority in this draft since it was 1 of the 3 big problems on offense the past 4 seasons. The other 2, which they've worked on improving during the off season which was OC and QB. Getting the trenches built for the present and future of the offense is very important. Now, they need to get their Center
If we can get JPJ later than second round I think their gonna get a wide receiver I can feel it but let's hope I'm wrong and Jackson gets to suit up in black and gold

I completely agree with the Steeler's choice to take an offensive lineman in the first round. I was only sad that Pittsburgh missed out on tight end Brock Bowers or possibly an elite edge rusher.

does anybody know, if you do read this, where did the steelers ACTUALLY have him ranked on their tackle board(1st to 3rd, not counting alt or fashanu) but i am including latham as many thought me might be available at 20, but not alt or fashunu....do you think they are actually telling the truth, i know tomlin is a sraight shooter but has told false truth's(my definition is not technically a lie but words that are used in this and thoughout most of life to ease or explain situations, kind of like santa to children) and i'm not saying that the pick isn't what was best for the steelers in this situation(as how or anyone going to know as of today whether this will be a HUGE MOVE forward or not, these 2 great gentlemen don't even know as of today either)...guy was as high as 7th to 9th on some top 300 talent boards, so a rather good bargain for the slot(20th)???sorry for the length, but just curious if anyone knows where they actually had him ranked on their tackle board, of course after the pick they are going to say "we had him high, not even terms of tackle only, so we are greatly appreciative that he was available where we got him(classic draft coach/gm speak)!?
