F1X 5th gen would be significantly faster with a D1X of even D1SC at 800whp. I don’t even think the blower is spinning at efficiency range considering LS3 don’t rev that high.
at all he needs a f1a94 at the most. it can most definitely work but if i were him id switch out for a 6.0 pistons & rods & send it without hesitation. he’s probably keeping it pretty conservative with the ls3
A wish blower😂 you realize they are one of the best proven combos for mustangs the ess blowers get down comparable to procharger which is not a wish blower. And if you look at a lot of the gm dudes in the video they are rocking stock blower or are rocking a medium d1x not the big boy f1x. The losses are from a whipple vs ess same power level and a twin turbo c6 vet making about the same power 800-760.

So yeah from a na perspective of factory built it really is the best bang for the buck and they truly do sing when its roll race or even in a 1/4 mile done right but in drag racing, especially the 1/8 mile not so much against other boosted factory forged push rod cars atleast without some real suspension work or banging off the rev limiter on the launch loading boost to make up for tq. currently the new zo6 lt motor makes 670 hp na ford is at 526 with the gt350r both are small displacement dohc engines. Personally hate the sound of it though so wouldnt buy one the gt350r though those are amazing sounding. They are coming out with the zr1 soon so when that happens it will no longer be the American dohc powerhouse anymore na or boosted. But the price tag is the separator. But now where comparing a vet to a Mustang so in that regard mustang wins bang for buck again. But yeah typically your right a push rod engine will need more mods to win but the caveat is you can gain cubes varying on motor plus stoke so it give a big advantage there when built. However it's not like sleeves dont exist and Bret lassa isn't slaying at tx2k now right lol.
