- Sonic the Hedgehog - Sonic No More (complete story)
The infamous Sonic No More story! Often mentioned as one of the worst STC storylines, even Nigel Kitching (the writer) has shared his dislike for it. The Sonic characters return to their form from pre issue 24 and Sonic's secret base is back despite beings destroyed in the previous issue. I believe this is because the strip was drawn before the Sonic 3 game adaption arc (issue 33). Anyway, Dr Robotnik has managed to steal Sonic's powers and his coolness via a mysterious device. Sonic has now gone back to his original brown form. Can he get his powers back?
Knuckles - Carnival Night Conspiracy (Part 1)
After the recent battle with Robotnik (issue #38) Knuckles is heading home to the Floating Island however when he arrives back he notices a new Zone has been built on his home, the Carnival Night Zone! It seems that the Carnival Night Zone is being run by some familiar figures as Knuckles is about to find out.

The lack of confidence in the story was shown in the text box telling readers "Don't ask where it came from, we're not mentioning it again." It works so much better as a stand alone story from before the official STC canon began, i.e. before issue 8, because then it wouldn't need an explainer, it being used when it was ended up raising unnecessary questions about 'Neinstein' and why we'd never heard about him before or since. It ends up looking odd that there was a whole other scientist that not only Porker knew of, but Robotnik as well, and that he and Grimer had rather conveniently managed to nick a substantial piece of kit 'offscreen'. Did Nigel have something in mind but then decide it wasn't going to work and then binned it? Maybe STCO could have cooked up a story, like him being an old rival of Kintobor or something.
Agreee. And the fan comic did hyper sonic but they seem to have stayed away from this err..comic equivalent of a smelly product. nobody, and i repeat nobody, wants to touch this thing with a 100 foot smelly pole, megadroid said they were never bringing up neinstein and to this day, they never have. neinstien is the only thing banned. because megadroid is still active and stopping anyone bringing this story up probably. they said it as "where not mentioning it again" because the story, unlike a one shot, was and still is non canon., in other words, its a garbage page filler. Probably the only trur garbage page filler in the entire fleetway run, if not the comic as a whole. comes a bit too close to "adventures of sonic the hedgehog" and a similar story would later appear in the sonic boom cartoon.
The reason this never happens again is because if they ever needed a page filler, they brought in other franchises because they can be done fairly quickly since everything was pre developed

Oh no, was it the AOSTH theme?
Sonic looks quite cute in brown 😂
I've always thought Sonic No More would have worked well as an AoStH episode.
Meanwhile, Knuckles almost gets casually shot to death!
Robotnik with Sonic's look. Wow just wow. Also I sort of hope this whole not having powers thing humbled Sonic in future issues. Guess I'll have to read on to find out.
Yeah 'sonic no more' causes issues even in the comic because its shown in his origin story that, sonic was always hyper fast and cool. Pretty much all the emeralds did was create super sonic. Thats it, and that might have even happened when the emeralds warpsloded in his face(fleetway and various others require the emeralds to be kept cold or on the floating island) His colour came from when he broke the sound barrier. He wasn't that close to the explosion to be as badly affected by it as kintobor was.
Kintobor was even testing to see how fast sonic could go with machines that we would see in an episode of sonic x.
The marxio brothers are kind of silly.
0:52 It predicts blue eggman from sonic boom.
Hmmm those brothers seem too familiar
The Marx Brothers and Super Mario Bros?
@@bigmacsama yup
They are just here to fix floating islands boom tubes they swear.
@@Nubbo312 that oughta do it
@@kawrght I thought it was called Angel Island?
Sonic as a normal hedgehod looks oddly normal
I quite liked carnival night conspiracy! Strong issue
