So thrilled to have found this - didn't think there was any footage from when I was in the cast - thank you so much : ) What lovely memories , ha ha like what I've done there: "memories" .
I can't, I can't do this anymore. Richard Armitage was in Cats. That's it, it is literally imopossible for this man to be anymore perfect. Thanks a lot Richard, you have officially ruined my life with your insane amount of perfection. I hope you are satisfied.
This is great but I just can't take my eyes off the majestic cat ;) This is amazing. Thank you for posting this. Just when I think I can't love Richard more I find him doing something else amazing and talented.
Thanks a lot for this footage!!!!! I thought that Richard couldn't amaze me more and - here we are! I think that he was just to high to continue this direction - thank God - we can have him as Thorin now!
Just when I thought Richard Armitage could not possibly get any closer to perfection....I was a dancer for 25 years, I was never as limber as he was!!!!
@TheatreDude267 hehe, nobody's perfect and you have a very good excuse for forgetting - it was a while ago! I'm just so grateful that you've uploaded these clips and I'm sure Richard's other fans are too! I have a 1998 DVD of "Cats" - Richard is listed in the credits as "swing". I had never seen that term before so I'm guessing it means he was on standby, just in case one of the male cast members couldn't go on for some reason?
i looked up this cast it's the november 1994 cast Richard Armitage would've been 23 or 22 at the time and did anyone else notice Tony Timberlake in the video.
@JaneChiara Yes, that iIS Richard Armitage in this particular video. He understudied Macavity as well as a couple of other parts. No other guy there is 6' 2'' tall! He was 22 years old at the time and was a part of "Cats" for about 18 months prior to his attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. from 1995 to 1998.
Thanks TheatreDude, and do you have something in which Richard Armitage play ? I don't know some picture, or anothre video .. I knew that he played in 1994, isn't it? Thank you very very much! Chiara
By yourself :-) ?!!!!!! Can I use them to cut and explain to polish fans of Richard Armitage about his early career? I will mark that YOU are the author of this precious footage, of course. Thanks

Wow he is an AMAZING DANCER. I am simply blown away by the totality of his talent.
God has been GOOD to Richard

Just saw my dad again in this video I love it xx
Courtney Shaw whois he?
I'm so happy Etcetera was in it then. They removed her from all professional productions.

I can’t get over Tony’s hair!! Lol
I can't wait to see it :)
this is awesome, they should totally do the revival that they are considering
If only all actors were as talented as him.
Yes, especially in Thorin's costume !!!
oh my god, Kimberley Partridge and the best cast ever!!!!
I would pay so much to see Richard Armitage do this now
okay, thank you...:)
MANY THANKS!!! I will send you the link to the result of my cut :-). Let me know PLEEEAAASE when Macavity Fight will be ready :-).
GREETINGS.
by the way, can probably name entire cast as I saw these guys so many times.
abbey22 who is munkustrap?
Wait, nevermind....at 3:08 when they are all gathered in the center, you get a close up and that is definitely him
Can you post a video of the overture? I heard the stage was on a revolve in this production. Would love to see it in action!
Really.... wow, I did not recognize him :P
Thanks TheatreDude, and do you have something in which Richard Armitage play ? I don't know some picture, or anothre video .. I knew that he played in 1994, isn't it? Thank you very very much! Chiara
i think he looks amazing. but honestly, who doesn't regret the things they wore in 1994? ya know, not counting people who weren't born yet.
is Jemima played by Kimberley Partridge on this video?
Richard as a cat...before finding out he took part of the musical I just though of siberian dressed up as Thorin
IS Macavity played by Richard Armitage??
Also does anyone know the name of which kitty he played?
In London or are you just a video company or just like an actual person who was part of the dance company cats for the year 1994?
By yourself :-) ?!!!!!! Can I use them to cut and explain to polish fans of Richard Armitage about his early career? I will mark that YOU are the author of this precious footage, of course. Thanks
Do you have the full show?
Dear TheatreDude267 ! ! How did you get this footage?
Which one is Richard Armitage?
He played Macavity.
who is playing munkustrap? :)
@Schulzman94
Hay I'd like to see Gumbie cat as well , it was me !!! I'd love to see it : ) xx
Long, black hair, blue tank-top, grey leg warmers, he's in the center of the group around 3:08 ...I wonder if that outfit embarrasses him now?
Munkustrap looks a bit like a young Christopher Reeve.
ps: the man who play with black hair tied and blue singlet, really isn't he?
richard armitage is in this
Is this mirrored?
@loopylupin09
yes x
play a game. Spot Richard Armitage?
Why should that outfit embarass him now? I think he looks just like a dancer and a very hot one!
