    Those lovely lines made me think that having a traditional Chinese dragon down the side of a car could look fantastic. It could even be blowing flames that come out across the top of the hood/front. - Great video. Lovely work.

    What stick paper did you use to mask and exacto the flames?

    Merry Christmas and Happy New Year;
    Thank you for these videos. My top 3 videos are;
    1. Craig Frasier 3 part series on real fire.
    2. Murdered candy.
    3. This one.
    I gotta few questions for you;
    I have a 1999 Ford Ranger short bed, typical rust on rear fender wells and a few minor door dings. I use for truck things and hauling my dirt bike down gravel roads. I plan on painting it pearlized carbide blue. What and how much primer, paint, and top coat do I use?
    I am getting requests to airbrush dirt bike helmets, and mailboxes. So what do you suggest for super glossy top coat?
    I found the murdered candy episode helpful on my last project.
    Thanks again and a Happy New Year;
    Tony.

    Working on very small projects using a small airbrush gun. Can you use candy paints and metal flakes

    • @AirbrushingtipsNet
      @AirbrushingtipsNet 2 года назад

      Candy - Yes
      Metal flake - No. You'll want a gun for that, or a flake buster.

      candy2o works with any airbrush. Hot Rod Sparkle will only spray through a 0.5mm tip-size or larger. Thank you.

    I'm curious.... did you clear over the Wicked Charcoal Metallic to prepare for the tape to layout the flames? I'm always afraid to mask over fresh paint risking the tape might peel up the paint.

      Createx paints adhere excellent and are made to be taped on direct during the graphic masking & taping process. If using an inter-coat clear to protect paint during taping, use AutoBorne 6000 Transparent Sealer, www.autoborne.com. However, the paint will not peel when taped on direct. Thank you.

      I believe Craig Fraser used Createx 4020 with 4012 reducer at 10% of the paint mixture to help adhesion for tape outs.
      The 4020 supposedly helps the paint bond to various surfaces and not lift when backmasked.

      The spray gun is an Iwata LS400 Entech for the base paint and an Iwata WS400 Evo for candy2o and clear, each with a 1.3mm tip. Thank you.

    What's the best way to revive older createx paints that have sat around?

    • @CreatexColors
      @CreatexColors  2 года назад +1

      It depends, but mixing with 4005 or 5602 Transparent Base then straining will work best. For more, please refer to the Transparent Base tech data sheet available at www.creatextech.com. Thank you.

    Can I use the Icon C-800 over lacquer?

    • @CreatexColors
      @CreatexColors  Год назад

      Don't know, probably if the lacquer is thoroughly cured. Definitively make a test panel, and for more, contact American Icon Finishes. Thank you.
