@jacketandbeard8732 exactly we had Hideo Kojima directings and overseeing things, Guerilmmo Del Toro as script writer, Akira Yamaoka was returning for music, Ito handling character and monster designs and Hideo's team o erseeing the programming it would gave been truly great a guaranteed home run, but sadly no we live in the bad time-line.

He was the monster/enemy designer for a Silent Hill game! That we got a demo of and Konami immediately killed. Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro, and Junji Ito. A combination so powerful it had to be stopped before it blew all of our minds.
Imagine the surprise effect if you didn't know it was him, you get thrown on the hook by Fuchi and you suddenly hear his voice going "Ah, hidoi! (Meaning: 'terrible/cruel') Hahaha!"
I just imagine them showing up to his house, about to wrap a bag around him, but by the time they blink, Ito-sensei has already started climbing inside like "Oooh, this is interesting. Looks dark in there. Oh I like the material, real professional kidnapping eh?"

I'm still disappointed that Identity V removed all the Junji Ito aspects of their... literally Junji Ito map of Fog Town. It was so perfect before! And I appreciate how we got so many varied skins between the two games. I think DBD's skins look utterly beautiful in a horrifying way and I hope we can see more.
