It's a funnel, there's a big bay/cove from the lake so deer will go around it. Also is a big draw up into the ridge with bedding up on top. Tons of other hunters hit the top as it has easy access. I'd bet I'm about 150 - 200 yards from that buck's main bedding area.

Good hunting Kyle. Around here the deer show up one day then nothing the next time. Same on trail cam. One day 8am to 10am they are there. Then a couple days of nothing. I think right now they are chasing acorns. Good Luck Brother!

Possibly a decoy, but I generally only use those in open areas like fields.
The farther back you go, the farther you need to drag a deer out! Just saying!
