i would have to say, they made the touch pro and diamonds in the Dare and Voyager models. the Diamond2 being the Dare and the Pro2 being the Voyager. but really theres no comparing as these 2 are just in a different league.
If you want a phone that does everything, you want a Touch Diamond2. If you want a phone that just calls, texts, and browses the web well enough to weather and email, and still want a touch screen phone, the Dare is probably your phone.

get the diamond 2, IMO if you want something sleek, future proof, lag free, with wifi AND can fully flaunt all the features of a phone, this one is for you. Its larger pixel density means the screen appears crisper
it does have bluetooth. Its coming in the next update i believe. other fun phones include: sony ericsson idou, samsung tocco/omnia HD, LG Arena. look em up on youtube
god that looked like it would be so hard to type on im used to the sidekick but when you go from that to touch screen texting its terrible and i heard it gets finger prints bad

No. HTC makes customizations to Android for their own phones, but the Android software stack is (and probably always will be) open source and controlled by Google.

lol hmm the BEST alternative right now in my opinion (for someone like you who likes applications and a very friendly interface) would be the iphone, and you get a free update to 3.0 this fall which includes most of the stuff the iphone was missing in the first place. If you want superior music quality, then you'll have to wait for the idou. In my opinion though the diamond2 is WAY overpriced. Check out the HTC g1 and g2 also!
