I love this video - the pattern is perfect and it looks so great. It's also broken down beautifully. I've had to go back and forth, pause, rewind and replay so many times though because it goes much too fast for me especially since it doesn't have narration - perhaps I'm a bit slow myself! I'd love to watch the eight minute version of this though, I think it would be easier to get first time round. Thanks so much for the tutorial, it looks beautiful!
+renegadegrenadeable Thank you for your nice comment ! I really have to figure out the voice over thing ( I'm learning editing as i go ). In the next bag tutorial, I'll be adding a pdf download option. If you like that bag too, message me via youtube n i'll send you a free sample :) Merry Christmas 🎄🎉💖
Hello renegadegrenadeable, if you look at the video on the bottom right side you will see sort of a wheel. click on it and there you will see differents speeds to watch videos. Hope this helps
Great tutorial! Just made one and I absolutely love it ! Realised when sewing the straps to the bag, reducing the tension was key to avoid thread bunching and jamming. :)
Thank you for this tutorial I have been looking to do some grocery bags, didn't want to line them or have a frayed ragged edge inside so this tutorial is just what I was looking for.
This is great! How would you wash this? I tried doing some research on my own but I’ve found that my bag has a lot of wrinkling after washing and drying and I didn’t know if you have had any experience or ideal method for cleaning. Thanks!
I would sew 2 panels on the sides of the zipper then sew the zipper panel onto the bag when finishing the bag's opening. It's like the zipper on this bag -> ruclips.net/video/EKJtL4uGriw/видео.html hope that helps :)
Nice video! Artzi Prints also Design totes, scarfs, pillows, home goods, accessories and more. All of the products are handmade in the USA. A quality clothes designed to last. With excellent quality and lower prices. Look sharp where ever you go.
Great video! The front pocket at 0:49, do you stitch it along its edge, or folded edges? A picture of the pocket before sewing it on to the bag would be mighty helpful.
Hey Barbra, you can bind the bottom of the bag like in this vid ruclips.net/video/CKBASCkZXG8/видео.html at 03:10 . Do use a thinner fabric for the binding :)
Hi there, I just answered your comment but I think youtube ate it cuz there were links in them . Anyways, I've added the links to where to find them in the description box. Thanks for watching n Happy Sewing !

Thank you for this tutorial I have been looking to do some grocery bags, didn't want to line them or have a frayed ragged edge inside so this tutorial is just what I was looking for.
I'm glad you like it ! This seam is great for making bags that carry heavy stuffs !
I was taught at school that the double-sewn seam is called a 'run and fell' seam. And verbal instructions would be a help.
Wow..very simple & easy 😍
Thanks for this video! I love this bag so much! I have just made it and I can't wait to start using it! It was super easy to understand. Thanks again!
I'm so happy you like it ! Thank you so much for letting me know !

If I wanted to see a zipper onto the top of the bag, would that be hard to accomplish if I followed all the rest of these instructions?
I would sew 2 panels on the sides of the zipper then sew the zipper panel onto the bag when finishing the bag's opening. It's like the zipper on this bag -> ruclips.net/video/EKJtL4uGriw/видео.html
hope that helps :)
thanks for the tutorial, but the instructions weren't super clear. Maybe you should talk about all the steps while you are doing it.
thanks for the feedback :)
Exactly.. its not step by step. too fast. didn't show details
Elegant design 💪💪😍😍

Love it. Thank you.
Very good, thank you
Name of this fabric ?? I'm searching for this cloth..
it's 100% cotton canvas, 16 oz :)
Great video! The front pocket at 0:49, do you stitch it along its edge, or folded edges? A picture of the pocket before sewing it on to the bag would be mighty helpful.
thank you :) it's sewn along the folded edges
Which material you used
it's a very thick cotton canvas material but medium weight will also work
Thanks for this awesome video!!! May I know what tension should I use for canvas material?
thanks for watching ! the tension depends, so I suggest to do some test sewing on several layers to check :)
Wow!!!! Great tutorial
Great video!!
Arey you using cotton canvas?
yes, the very thick kind :)
Hi can i ask? What fabric did you use for the outer pocket?
I think she wrote in description
What size needle and thread are you using?
Hi there ! I think I used a #15 needle with the regular sewing thread. You can use sizes #14 up :)
did you show how to put the binding on the box bottom part?
Hey Barbra, you can bind the bottom of the bag like in this vid ruclips.net/video/CKBASCkZXG8/видео.html at 03:10 . Do use a thinner fabric for the binding :)
@@SaltyDIY Thank You
Hi, loads of love from India, i made this same pattern bag.. this turns so perfect and beautiful .. i wish i could share pic of bag to u. Thanks a lot
thanks for trying the tutorial, would love to see it too ! tag me on Instagram or something :)
@@SaltyDIY yes sure ..
Thanks
Very good!
thank u ♥️
do you have a pattern to print out please
Подскажите , что за ткань и какая плотность ?
i use a 16 oz cotton canvas, but 12 - 14 oz will be just fine. It will be sturdy enough and also not too thick for sewing on a home machine :)
What is the size of your tote bag?
It's abt 29 x 28 x 9 cm
@@SaltyDIY Thank you. :)
Good
Dónde las puedo comprar me puedes mandar la dirección gracias 👍
What is the bag"s size after we made it
if the bag's flat, the opening is 37 cm and length is 40 cm. maximum load size is 31 (L ) x 28 (W) x 9 (D ) cm
Tengo una duda...
Al colocar la asa porque las golpea 🤔???
you mean the hammering part ? it's to compress the thick handles so that my little sewing machine can sew through them :)
Cute
Please What is the name of this cloth?
it's cotton canvas, 16oz weight. there's more detail on this diy on my blog ( saltymom.net ). Thanks for watchin' !
