It's placed on a invisible floor, you can create floating illusion by dozens of them, however you still need to connect at least one tile to a solid floor eventually. 3. How to get a staircase placed at the edge of territory. You will need to stand on a second floor, then place it downstair.

You can't, they were just been divided into small rooms
