Thanks so much for this. As someone that hasn't finished an Atelier game yet, translating the icons alone is huge to me. The longer format is nice too. Instant sub.
Thanks for the recommendations and detailed breakdowns of traits! That's very helpful. One thing I'm confused about is how equipment stats like M.ATK/P.ATK factor into things. Some of my equipment with the best traits are on items with lower base stats so I'm uncertain which ones to use.
Thank you so much for something i never realised that traits stack up so always wanted to make 2 different traits.. never too late to start over..... right?
Are the resistance traits calculated additively (same as the damage boosts are), or multiplicatively? Because if it's additive, the same way Damage boost looses value the more you put in it, resist value increases in value more you put in it. Still, the base percantage is very small. And even if you made a defender that is untouchable to magic damage, it would probably only help in situations where the enemy has no all attacks. Edit: Nvm, you literally answered it 2 minutes later in the video. 😀
Can you please explain how to get multiple skill ups for attackers? I dont understand how to do that... just get 1 character that has skill up when synthetisize + at last part select a item that gives skill up also? the 2 characters that synthesize up skill power doesnt match in colors
ty for the video i was wondering if i decide to not go for units until half anniversary, will i be able to clear contents?[main team is like sophie ryza Lresna corn shalie] (mainly asking so i could select lydie+ryza on half-anniv, and then pull when all previous banners are added to banners)
Dealt Damage is like Ice Damage or Magic Damage, just for all characters, while Ice Damage works only for Ice, and Magic for all magic ones. The values are lower for that reason (Dealt Dmg is 15, while Ice is 25). This means that it adds up to the Skill Damage multiplier, together with all sources of Skill Damage. Dealt Damage is pretty useless IMO, if you want general equipment that anyone can use, just use 6 SPU V. If you want to maximize damage for a specific type of character, you want 4 SPU V and 2 Type Dmg (like Ice Damage or Slash Damage), together with gear that focuses on that type of damage (like 10% dmg weapon and 10% dmg accessory), but this means you lose the general usage, and only attackers of that type can use it.
just think like this A x B while A is skill power up and B is whatever. like fire damage, ice damage, magic, physical, dealt damage etc. whatever thrown to B would addictive, while skill power up would just multiplicative. we get so many source of B, while A only from traits. the disminishing return is the key
Great guide! I still got a question though about breaker gear. Since Marie, Shallie and Raze cant connect to each other, what second trait to pick? Skill power for extra dmg?
So equipment only gets 2 traits (and battle items 3). For the previous event's serenity scarf, I prioritized magic stun damage by using Shallie (blue-yellow magic stun damage boost), Tao (yellow-blue physical damage boost), and Regicite (event item with blue magic stun damage or enhanced damage buff [Breaker]). That meant I had a decent chance of getting both traits to be magic stun damage boost and was more relying on RNG (outside of enhancement board and awakening Shallie as much as I can) to give me high trait levels for those traits. Of course, I don't have Marie or Raze but I imagine we'd prioritize having a character to link between the breaker to the color of an item with the matching trait. Ideally one that's enhancement board with synth node on board XI and is more than 3 stars.
Great video helping me understand how the world's cutest mushroom can one shot me sometimes, I've been doing bad traits. No more PTSD excuses to avoid the vegetable aisle - thanks =D ... I was wondering why some traits are switched off when I synthesize sometimes. I have a character or item with 2 traits each but some of them are disabled sometimes and I wondered why that was?
I didn't go over usable items much, but basically there's 4 types (healing, attack, buff, debuff) and some traits only apply to a specific type. So if they don't apply they'll be greyed out
Thank you for the guide! I really don’t understand why Skill Power goes up to 25%. They made all these different power up types and Skill Power is just strictly better and all-encompassing. I wonder if it’ll be nerfed at some point
It won't be nerfed, they'll just release better traits down the line. I think it's better this way - it's already really, really hard to make good gear, so if you needed more different sets to use different characters it would be very frustrating.
It will not get nerfed. You wont be able to get skill VV's best potential dmg if your character has no access to any external dmg outside skill boost whole set of skill boost VV is actually weak compared to hybrid VV (set recommended for non dps or sub dps like klaudia who has decent dps, but there is exceptions like L resna who has great synergy with drachen burst stacking) but at the same time skill VV is the strongest dps trait choice if you can buff with the likes drachen dmg stacking or niche dmg stacks.
nice guide. ive been making my equipment wrong i guess. but at the same time i dont have any lv 9 traits :( for special cases where supporters can be sub attackers like l-resna, should we go for skill power up as well? considering skill 2 is not buffed by traits since its crit chance buff? or am i wrong =/
If you ran out of free gems, it will use paid gems instead of free gems for everything. Also, they don't carry over between platforms - if you bought them on steam, you won't see them on android etc
Nice TED talk xd. What is the maximum number of synthesis for Resna to have all her fragments to awaken? I just reached 200 by making that brown SR healing item that is quite cheap, and I see that the next one is to reach 250, but is there more after that number?
Disagree on aim for skill up early. I got gear w/ skill up & fire up. And if you can use that damage type larger buffs are better. Skill up 4 & fire up 4 is better than skill up 4 & skill up 2. I dumped my gear for all skill up & i'm doing less damage (b/c i can't get double large skill up bonuses). Maybe later when other things buff you, okay. But early on just take the biggest bonuses you can get.
@@atelierangela i learned a lot from your guides. Thank you 🤗👍. I gambled on master ryza & izana. Got 'em both... GAME CHANGERS!!!

jeez i played so much genshin and hsr i just assumed this game has like basic attack, skill and ultimate and skillpower only affects said skill and not everything kekw
in global, meruru says she only provides "single target skill power." so she isnt really a must pull for synthesis. i think they changed it.

ngl its actually sad how poorly designed these traits are, everything does the same and even effects that have limitations like only that element, only defenders, only single / aoe are not balanced at all because there is no upside to them, its the same values but with downsides, thats so bad. You have 1 good thing and 10 other versions that do the same but worse, great...
[menu > container] was just nonchalantly shown. an entire inven area i had no idea existed ㄹㅈㄷ. thanks!
Thanks so much for this. As someone that hasn't finished an Atelier game yet, translating the icons alone is huge to me. The longer format is nice too. Instant sub.
Thank you for the skill guide. Its confusing which traits are really valuable so this helps quite a lot.
This was very helpful. Thank you very much!
This guide is abbsolutely amazing, thank u from Brazil!
Thank you for this video. Very informative. I've been playing for a few weeks and yet I never knew that I can access the inventory from the menu.
Words cannot express our gratitude 😭
great video! Looking forward to the next in-depth guides💯
Thanks 👍.
This Help clear my confusion
Awesome, such an in deep guide, and visualising it makes it better! Arigathankyou very Dankeschön!
Ty for the info, truly appreciated! missing quite a lot of of alchemist the only thing i can synthesis is the skill power up.
Thanks for the recommendations and detailed breakdowns of traits! That's very helpful.

I really needed this thanks👍
thanks a lot for this. the game does a horrible job at explaining how traits work
guardian blessing on buff and healing items are pretty good too and can be a clutch for survivability if you don't have the critical finish trait
Thx for the video. Will you talk about most important heroes for synthesis in the future and how they must follow in synthesis?
Looking forward if you can make a tier list based on the latest jp units or best team per element with substitute. That will be a great help.
Thanks been waiting for this.
Thanks for this video!!!
Thank you for the information on this Traits really helpful ^_^
Please Make for Equipment Item
I hope the next video will go over synthesis gear. I am struggling to keep up up with material cost
Is it possible to get magic stun V/V with Shallie + item? That would be 40%. V/IV is only 32%
Or do we do magic stun V / generic stun V which is 35%
Thank you so much for something i never realised that traits stack up so always wanted to make 2 different traits.. never too late to start over..... right?
Thanks for this. ❤
Thanks.
I have a question, is the EX Board a complete waste? The bonus is pretty tiny. If it isn't a waste, then at what point would you start to focus on it?
Is it more beneficial to group Ruven with a non-color-match character in order to keep the possible trait pool small during synthesis?
Are the resistance traits calculated additively (same as the damage boosts are), or multiplicatively? i was wondering When crafting for L Resna what traits is recommended? Do I increase her healing? Her buff? Or burst damage?
Can you please explain how to get multiple skill ups for attackers? I dont understand how to do that... just get 1 character that has skill up when synthetisize + at last part select a item that gives skill up also? the 2 characters that synthesize up skill power doesnt match in colors

Just want to know what’s the best debuff skill and item used?
Out of curiosity, are there any resources out there that math out and show the difference between the different stats?
Thank you for the guide!

What page is that?? To check items and charaters
Link or name plz

if you are using her for damage, then yeah you build her more like an attacker
heard a women speak and was like oh no she finna bring out the math
Do payed gems have a time limit? I had 800 payed crystals a week ago and now when I looked at it they were gone, but I don't remember using them ;p
If you ran out of free gems, it will use paid gems instead of free gems for everything. Also, they don't carry over between platforms - if you bought them on steam, you won't see them on android etc

500
Thank you for making these!
Resna could really use more Help buttons since I wouldn't know a lot of this stuff w/o Discord/ Reddit.
There is a way to change gear automaticaly between characters? Or you can only do it manualy one by one?
unfortunately not :(
i was wondering where is the inventory or whatever until i saw this video.

I hate the craft system of this game, so confusing... its the biggest letdown of a otherwise enjoyable experience.
hello, do you know what's the next banner?~~

Oh man…I now feel like I’ve been wasting all my resources. I made nothing but tiaras with magic boost and resistance….dammit…
