Always keep a savings account strictly for lottery tickets. This guy in my hometown has won $1.5 million in the past 2 years from scratch offs. I’ve known this man since I was a kid and to see him out and about now a days is funny af cuz he still wears his Mexican ass sandals to walk his dogs. And over investing is also dangerous. If 100% of your worth was in the index’s feb 2019 you were living real lean or losing money until summer 2021. And there is zero guarantee the market will always go back up.

I said gold as gold is the tier right below I keep bank accounts in 4 currencies. as it is easily exchangeable into any currency and is the same relative value in almost all countries. gold is actually "safer" than maintaining different currencies. but takes more steps to transfer, and is a security liability.
A smart person would know that investing, at its core, its gambling. Just with expertise and skills, and not pure chance.
