7.62x51 is the .308 Winchester round, the 7.62X54R is in some Nagants, Mausers, and all Dragunov SVD's. The 7.62x39 is the AK round. Modern plate armor works by absorbing the impact, and therefore the ceramic plate breaks. It often cannot take multiple round impacts, and doesn't "deflect" bullets as much as shatter and absorb. Kevlar works by completely stopping the bullet, and sacrificing protection for comfort. It will feel like getting nailed in the chest with a baseball thrown at 102mph.
well, since a 50cal and a 30mm are not exactly man portable and the saw, and m-60, are no where near as easy to use standing and moving like this shot gun, i'd take the shot gun if i was on assault as its less un-weildy and the low recoil is nice.
I am not aware that the jihadis in Iraq and Afghanistan HAVE tanks. Even if they did, there are plenty of other ways to kill a tank, from handheld AT missiles, to Apaches and A-10's. This is for close quarters combat.
Unfortunatly we are not lucky enough to own things like that without extensive backround checks a 200 dollor tax for the gun and if its transferable over 10,000 dollors for the gun itself since we can no loger buy anything new. The cut-off date for registration was in 86 I think.
