Waiting to watch live on TV and waiting till 12 to 3 am to watch the champions League and waiting for the next day to see it on the newspapers and cut out the pics from the papers and always hoped it was ronaldo Or rooney zlatan Or torres Or gerrard etc..n collect there pics and posters n paste on the rooms desk dorms dairies scrap books etc...N then watch the highlights and imitate our fav players.. It was always special.. And wearing there jerseys and boots or cleats did make a difference we just played better and had more fun...
The Trio forward, Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney made a great impact. When I watch our matches these days I weep. We now struggle to score goals more or less Even Win 😔
