For Me, it's all about the Surf. The Sun, being active. Being Healthy. Beautiful People in the "real" sense are in attendance. ----- Then there is Nightime, and peoples' obsessive drinking just takes away from that. Most things unsavory or worse that happen in Tamarindo, happen after dark. I love the place, even though it was much better 30 years ago, as someone above said. Of course, that's how it goes.
Tamarindo is great for the young crowd, surfing during the day and great night life. Langosta for the older folks, quiet, laid back, Capitan Suizo and Cala Luna and Fish & Cheeses for dining. Been coming since '92 so I've seen a lot of changes Most of the places around now didn't exist back then. Never had a bad trip. Too old now, I miss it.

Hi Joann, thank you for watching. So glad you watched my video. If it's windsurfing you are interested in (my husband is an avid windsurfer) stay at Lake Arenal same hotel we stayed at is Mystica. In Tamarindo we found our condo on ArBnB but there was a 20 minute walk into town. There were may choices. Have fun!
Housing in Tama is a bear. Good deals hard to find, unless one is OK with being 20 mins from the beach. Maybe you will get lucky. I was happy to pay a bit extra to get well taken care of at a hotel.
For 6:00am there were a quite a few cars out. I tried to find the names of those black birds but I could not. Tamarindo looks like a very nice neighbourhood. I really like the beach it has a lot of stores and restaurants, great for locals and tourists, you must miss it.👍👍
Great video! Been there 3 times. Looking forward to return this Year. Sunsets are amazing, now I want to see a sunrise like this! Hugs

Costa Rica in general is not very up to standard on Handicapped people getting around. Maybe it is worth it..> I cannot say.
