I was completely unfamiliar with G10 before watching your video, and I was very impressed with its density and strength--until about the five-minute mark in the footage. Here, you have little or no difficulty peeling off partially damaged layers by hand! Doesn't this strongly suggest that the bond between the multiple layers of fiberglass and epoxy in the G10 laminate is quite weak, with little shear strength? I'm NOT an engineer but wouldn't a riser built with G10 be prone to fracture and delamination? I'm probably missing something and hope you'll correct me. Best, Chris
Hi Chris, i never had any delamination problem, ive done testing, and g10 always break first before delamination. If you have concerns you can make riser against the layers, then there’s no way of delamination. Its easy to peel after layers where already lifted, so no concerns. Thanks for this excellent question! Feel free to ask anything!
Great video!

So the whole riser is made with g10? It was a little hard to tell from the video how it was put together
Yes, the whole riser is made from g10, you can watch video of full making of that bow, its titled 48 inch recurve bow making
