Wajatta is a new group consisting of comedian and musician Reggie Watts and electronic producer and DJ John Tejada. Together, they've made their debut with the recently released 'Casual High Technology' album which is a funk-infused collection of techno and the result of a lifetime of urban and electronic music influences from both artists. It's "electronic dance music with roots in Detroit techno, Chicago house, '70s funk and New York hip hop", according to the duo, and it's heading to The Lab LA for the first time this week.

I had no idea Reggie did all the fucking vocals. I assume Tejada was singing. Wow.
I would love to see some of Reggie’s “characters” incorporated into this music. He often would comedically sing in a style from such a bi-gone era that you assumed it’s accuracy, but it still sounded great. Some heavy Reggie-reverb harmonies would be beautiful over top of this.
