Just purchased this bike rack and when I get home from my USA vacation I will be fitting it. Currently in Los Angeles. Back home to Scotland this Friday
HI, I just found this and it's very helpful, thanks! I have a Ram Promaster and this is a huge improvement over the factory instruction cave-painting pictograms that come in the box.
Thank You for Sharing Tips Tricks Install. Fairly Straightforward about to purchase by end of week giving me the Confidence that I am making the Right Choice👍😎‼️
Excellent video - I will be getting this for my Promaster. Though in the Amazon description it doesn't specifically indicate that it will fit a Promaster, but I will go ahead and try it. Thank you so much!
Thanks! Very well done,. The glue bothers me. Can the glue be removed without injury to the van? I'm thinking what if we decide we don't want to take bikes? Thanks for ideas!
It seems like the bikes shape goes out of the van just on the right. On my Thule bike rack for vw Transporter you are able to let the saddles slide left right to compensate this. Are you able to center the bikes?
The other problem with the hitches is the ***weight your car can handle. It is one thing to pull something with wheels, but no wheels so you are tied to a ***limited weight. (I believe some of the slick bike racks with hitch attachments are just at or slightly over the weight limit & that is without the bikes being added on...besides being incredibly expensive too.) We are setting up our Thule Elite Van XT Bike rack this week, but they run almost $800 and you need to order their recommended glue. (Make sure the glue has not expired before you pick it up.). **And, wear gloves when applying the glue, it does stay on your hands for a bit. Most places you purchase the bike racks at won't set up the rack for you, because of the gluing on vehicles, per them. But they will help you over the phone when you are ready to attach the rack. Slightly nerve racking...but it looks good so far! Thank you very much for your video, very helpful! --CR
Would nice to see ho this comes off. This rack came standard on the new Tellaro I bought. I don't plan to use the rack for quite some time, if ever. It's clunked me in the head twice when wind caught the door. I'm hoping this is easy to take off the the door rails.
I am not a die hard biker but I do find it appealing to carry the bikes on camping trips. Haven’t been able to decide on a particular solution for the Sprinter 144. I am hesitant on the rack that you used mainly because of glueing the supports to the door.
Great information. Question? I have a swing out spare tire on the same side as your rack. How far out does the bottom rack bracket extend from the flat surface of the rear door? I have a Solis. Thank You!
Hi and thx for this helpful video ! I have a 2020 Sprinter van, do the cross glued rails are curvy enough to fit properly the New 907 Sprinter door profile ? It seems that this Thule reference is for vans up to 2017...🤔 Did you have to adapt them somehow? Thx for tour answer!
Do you think you could use this in conjunction with a hitch rack to carry 4 bikes? I am concerned with the handlebars of the bikes on the lower rack clearing the bikes on the door rack. Thoughts?
Hey. Will this fit either right or left door on rear of the vehicle? My ladder is on the right hand side door at rear. Eek. Thanks for the help! Great video!
Great video. I'm about to install this on pro master 2500 (solis) and, while a couple minor diffs, your video was very helpful. Especially as the instructions are in hieroglyphics :) One question, does it interfere with rearview camera or backup camera?
I’m not sure. I guess it would depend on the cover. The bars the rack need to connect to the middle of the bike, so the cover would need to allow that.
I have a ladder mounted to the left door on my Sprinter. Can you please tell us the depth of the gap (between the bike rail and the door), so as to measure whether the bike will close over the ladder? Thanks for the useful video.
Sorry, but I have sold this van and can’t take measurements. The bike trays are adjustable side to side, as well as the distance from the back of the van. Not sure if you would have enough clearance for the ladder, though. Maybe contact Thule. Good luck.

*I was expecting a lot of shortcuts to be taken at this price. I was wrong. Decent quality **Latest.Bike** raker . Easy on easy off.*
Really good video please can someone tell me how long each bar is that fixs to top and bottom of door
Thanks very much Cass
Better than the instruction leaflet - well done and thank you!
Thank you! Very informative.
Glad it was helpful!

Do you think this Would this work with a rear tire carrier? The agile off road one. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! Also for your hints

Can you put a tandem bike on that bike rack
Do you know what weight bike you can hold on this rack? We have ebikes that are around 48 pounds
I don’t know the capacity, but I don’t think it would work for those.

Sorry. We no longer have this van, so I can’t get measurements.
If not what kind of bike rack would you recommend for my pro master van for a tandem bicycle
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you think the bike rack can be installed on the other door, on the driver's door?
I don’t think so, but check with Thule.

Works great on newer Sprinters. This van is a 2019, and I’ve also put one in a 2020. No adapter needed.
@@thrivans huge thanks 😉
Thanks for the Video!

Great video, Thanks. Curious if you considered the Fiamma version of this rack? I'm trying to decide between both. Thanks again.
I think they’re very similar. I was able to pick up the Thule locally. That’s why I went with that one.
What brand is this rack and is it possible to also bolt it through the door for additional safety.
This is a Thule. You could probably figure out a way to bolt it to the door, but I don’t think that’s necessary. It’s very solid.
Hey. Will this fit either right or left door on rear of the vehicle? My ladder is on the right hand side door at rear. Eek. Thanks for the help! Great video!
I think it will only work on the passenger side.
What’s weight limit on bikes
I think it’s about 50 lbs., but check manufacturer specs to be sure.
Do you have to remove bikes to open the door?
No. You can open with the bikes on the rack.
Whar is the bike weight rating Thanks
75 Lbs.

It doesn’t interfere with the Sprinter cameras.
Can you put a bike cover on this style rack?
I’m not sure. I guess it would depend on the cover. The bars the rack need to connect to the middle of the bike, so the cover would need to allow that.
Hey Jeff, how is the bike rack working out? I am considering the Fiamma or the Thule but will have to come to your house to get them installed!
I don’t have that van anymore, but I really liked the Thule rack. I am putting this same rack on two new vans that I am building.
I have a ladder mounted to the left door on my Sprinter. Can you please tell us the depth of the gap (between the bike rail and the door), so as to measure whether the bike will close over the ladder? Thanks for the useful video.

@Alex D Thanks for your input!
Important Note!: There are 2 versions of this rack WITH THE SAME MODEL NAME... *face palm*. The version used here IS NOT the ProMaster version.
Which one is the pro master model? I got the sprinter model delivered from Amazon. Thank you for your time.
