I love latias it's my second favorite pokemon of all time
Regular Latios and Latias all the way, for the same reasons you've given before. Even just watching this battle, you can tell the regulars are better; they all look different, while the megas and shiny megas look the same. But these battles were some of the best in this entire series, if not the very best; they were both so close!
That was the most clutch victory in form fight history and my favorite form fight yet tied with the Hitmon one

Latias for me, no doubt in my mind. My favorite legendary since I watched Heroes when I was like 11. Also the last few turns of the mega battle may have been the most intense this series has ever gotten that was amazing.
These were the most intense metronome battles I've seen yet in this series! Fantastic episode!

This is just a sibling fight where the lil' sister got very mad at the big brother, which ended with the sister setting her brother on fire and getting knocked out by the very loud scream that came out from her brother due to being on fire

but the second battle...
He got pissed off and was like "Eh you know what? I'm bringing you to Poke heaven along with me."

I was also thinking about thunder cause it's the highest electricity threat for him if mud sport wasn't there

my god this has got to be the best form fight episode yet! at the end of both battles i was on the edge of my seat. wantes the other pokemon to win the second battle, but it was amazing anyway!

i like latios because it looks cooler, is more threatening, and has a better way of showing off itself. latias looks like it just tried to not rip off latios and painted itself red.
How ironic considering Latias is clearly the original as the original designed got turned into Blaziken and Latias.

Hey Liam, ever considered to put items in the metronome battles? Something small, like oran/sitrus berry? I know it can make the battles excessively long, but i don't like all that moves (embargo, fling, magic room) going to waste hahahah
Maybe it could add even more randomness to the metronome battles

You should try setting the form fights up in a way where 1 of each form is on both sides of the field instead of 1 Pokémon versus another.

They've been back since the 3ds came out, either on pss for XY and ORAS or Festival plaza for SM and USUM. As for Let's go? I don't know, as I don't own a switch but I know you can do it.
