Yet another treasure straight out of the wrapping, this recording is the first time ever this VHS has been played since it was boxed up in 92. Kind of cool. RUclips is my time machine. From the back of the box:
"NOW IT CAN BE HEARD
Everyone has watched baseball - but how often have you heard it? Well Now It Can Be Heard, thanks to a hilarious new compilation of baseball bloopers, outtakes, and gaffes, with the added bonus of sound! Eavesdrop on the stars in the clubhouse, the dugout, and on the field. It's the baseball tape that takes you behind the scenes like never before. You'll hear managers and players during drama-filled moments from the playoffs and World Series. You'll hear the not-ready-for-prime-time outtakes from all-star games and interviews. And you'll listen in as announcers describe on-the-field and off-the-wall antics. It's the stuff you've never heard before - but thanks to this exclusive collection - Now It Can Be Heard."
I own nothing. Posted simply for entertainment.
RIP Tommy Lasorda
I loved this video when I was kid. Made me a huge Kirby fan. The home run contest is pure gold!
The home run derby clip with Puckett was absolutely priceless. Cal sure was amused to say the least, lol.
i love this old vhs of baseball just dope
Boy times we're much simpler and less confusing back then.
8:30 Pete Vuckovich (Clu Haywood) from "Major League" lol
Had this on VHS when I was a kid. The whole family loved it. Damn, I miss those days!
That reggie Jackson 1st base interference is probably the most talked about play in history of baseball
17:40 by that event the A.L East division race had just been decided The (eventual world series champions of 1992) Toronto blue jays won their game 161 to hit their magic number to 0
37:51 spraky anderson's best quote
25:11 bill murray saw him doing hitting Home runs on the last week before all star break like they're going out of fashion
I had this on VHS and watched it so many times, Never thought I'll ever see it again. Thank You!
Who is the Dodger in the dugout at 22:33 talking about Ron Cey? I’ve been trying to figure that out for years. You can’t see his number or his name on his jersey but I’m thinking maybe the joke is that it’s Jack Fimple and he’s supposed to be at the plate and he’s sitting there BS’ing in the dugout. Because otherwise it’s not that interesting of a story about Ron Cey.
So Hilarious to see Dallas Green act like a little baby.
timestamp?
5:16 to 6:36 not entirely Dallas Green but what you do see of him is funny.
38:18 he knows that the padres are down to their last three outs and need a grand slam to make the tigers get 1 more at bat turn
2:00 bo jackson knows style ponts
It's easy to hit lots of homers when you're juiced.
Kirby Puckett
So Awsome!!
To be fair Reggie was standing there. Tommy was correct.
