Lol... he calls the F-15 "aging" in the early 90's. Wonder what he'd call them now considering they and the F-16 are still by in large the mainstay of the USAF. Most of those air frames are over 20-30 years old too.
Even today I still believe that they picked the wrong jet even though the YF23 didn't have a big weapons bay but they could have made some adjustments and put something like the 22 has on like a bigger weapons bay so it can hold more bombs in it

If you read the reports on the decision, you see the f22 was the only real choice. The yf23 was only better in top speed and stealth numbers. The f22 was better in maintainability, weapons carriage, maneuverability and many other areas

YoungTimmy at least if you flew r,c edf jets meaning electric, ducted, fan! You could order it from Motion R,C which is a great electric Jet as well as use f,p,v meaning first, person, view with a Fatshark head set with a camera in the cockpit.
We would have a huge advantage and way better stealth with the YF23 . With the 22 I think it has a chance of getting spotted through radar or a big chance with Russia new radar systems

It's hard to believe that the Raptor as a design is nearly 30 years old. 30 years before the F-15, most aircraft were still driven by propellers!
the b52 and a10's are old frames and old designs. Everything else is old designs, NEW FRAMES, and updated as f**k electronics.
