I have a question for you Zack. How is it, that now I feel like I'm a part of your farm, I care about John Deere tractors running great and not causing trouble, I'm worried about your dad's knee even though I don't personally know your dad, and now I know how to check soybeans for being wet and I also know that you have to shut it off before it gets too wet at night so that it doesn't plug up the combine. How did I get to this point? LOL! No honestly I've truly enjoyed this whole thing, your farm how you farm the equipment involved in the farm everything. I truly enjoy the people you're interact with and your whole family, you make farming seem fun!
But farming is fun, a responsible kind of fun, but still alot of fun, at least for me. Tottaly agree with You on that one, when i'm not farming on my own or working as contractor, i'm watching Zack and other farming RUclips channels, lul, guess i'm addicted to farming.
The reason i came to comment, he's so mysterious, I'd love him to be on an off the husk, such a great sense of humor, would be amazing to hear some stories
For you training on Grain Elevators look at your Cooperative Extension. As a firefighter for over 38 years in a career and running on a Heavy Rescue and Truck Company I had this training and it was great and came in use a few times through out my career. Our city did not have any Grain Elevators however we had the training to assist our bordering community's that did. Enjoy your site.
Jim's mischievous chuckle at 1:00 was perfect. The correct mix of "I really hope that happens so I can film it" and "I think Zach getting doused in corn sludge is an appropriate karma response for the stuck tractor last year."
Because of all you RUclips farmers hubby and I have been taking drives in the country to see our local farmers in action. I have learned so much from all the channels that I actually understand what is happening in the field.
I think its awesome that your dad is still helping you even though he is not 100% recovered from his knee replacement. In June 2016 my dad had double knee replacement only to get his right knee infected. They removed his knee in early September 2016 and placed an immobilizer on that leg. While I was combining beans I seen his truck pull up to the field edge then my mom called me. I assumed she had brought dinner. Turned out dad figured out he could adjust the angle of the immobilizer and was able to get in his truck he drove down to set and watch all while mom had no clue! This video brought back memories its hard to keep a good man down.
I always love it how just when we (in the uk) are just at the end of harvest and you guys are just starting, it results in perfect timing to watch you’re videos!
You're living my dream. I didn't make it as a farmer a drought bankrupt me in 83 I lost everything at age of 31.Cherish those kids they grow up so fast you won't believe it. Good luck with the harvest be safe hope best for you and your family.
Jim needs his own Camera... Jim is a natural at farm Vlogging! Jim is a Legend. Good to see your Dad is taking things easy.. NOT... You know what they say... You cannot keep a good man down.. I know if I had a new knee... I would be holidaying in the tropics near a pool drinking Cocktails... NOT spending time in a Combine!
My dad got 2 new knees several years ago and he gets around much better now than he did 20 years ago and he loves them lol. Tell Nate to be sure and do the physical therapy like they recommend and once it all heals up he will be so glad he went through with it.
Zack I love your videos so much that the 9 minute video seems like 2 minutes,I need those 25 to 30 minute videos again, thank you for all you do,you are truly amazing
My dad had his knee replaced too and every time he walks up stairs or across rough ground i pause to watch & make sure he makes it up or to where he is going.
You call yourself a Millennial farmer. But your at the cut off. You should be Gen X with you work ethic and all. Glad to know there are people like you up by Alexandria like you.
I'm glad you took my advice from last year on calling the septic company for the pits. Its an easy job for them and you don't have to deal with doing it. Thats a win in my book.
Good video Zach. Hello to Jim also. Sending my best to your Dad for good continued recovery. Always thinking of him. Your video was interesting. Nice to have grain pits cleaned out. Better to hire it done than your valuable time. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
You caught me off guard, when you snapped your finger I thought we were going on a trip. Oh yeah, thanks for getting that song stuck in my head. Always looking forward to the next post. Thanks.
Ahhhhhhh.... yes... the good ol' fall and spring bloody noses... I thought I was the only one! I've found sleeping with a "cold" humidifier on helps out immensely. (One that doesn't use heat to make it humid.)
Congratulations on 600k!! Jim seems pretty decent on the camera. He's funny. 😂 PS. Crary has a tube you can add to your air system that blows off the feeder house and keeps it clear.
Pray you guys have a good season! We'll be digging peanuts in about a week and half! Soy beans won't be ready till about November here in North Carolina!
Your father is looking great, hope he takes it easy during harvest as I can't sit long with my knee that is messed up. Zach your kids are at the perfect age that you can spend lots of time with them, cuz they grow up way to fast. I was telling my son about you as he is a CPA and he just opened his own business with a friend called Dakota CPA and its in Sioux Falls SD 69th and Southeastern and he said he knows you from FBN in Sioux Falls SD. If you ever have any questions don't hesitate to call him at Dakota CPA.
Awesome video, had to watch it twice back to back. So many good comment opportunities. Zach in the pit, Jim "holy buckets!" Nate's new poly knee brought to you by May-Wes. Onyx great delivery of "what is that?" Good editing, Becky. Love this time of year. Miss the farm. Thank you!
Great video Millennial Farmer / Zach of farming in the US, thanks for sharing all this! You make us feel part of the operation which is great. It seems it has been dry, so can imagine that it is quite exciting or sometimes scary what crop, what the soy beans will yield this year. So much depending on that. Glad that the second calibration brings more bushels for you an Acre (or tons / ha). Nice to see what are the indicators you're constantly checking to get the combine settings right for each crop, variety and circumstance throughout the day👌 Glad to see your dad is clearly in operation again👍 kicking you out of the combine regularly😉 Allowing to let you work on other things of the operation. Good luck with the rest of the 2020 harvest👍
I have a question for you Zack. Zach there is a reason you are a farmer and not a singer love your channel

The Jim Cam is the best. Jim is like the guy everyone likes, but he always gets stuck or breaks stuff.
Running with your daughter was a nice touch.
I really am enjoying seeing a lot more of Jim in these recent videos
It great to see your dad out working. I hope he doesn't over do it, I know how hard knowing that work needs to be done and not being able to do it.

My dad had his knee replaced too and every time he walks up stairs or across rough ground i pause to watch & make sure he makes it up or to where he is going.
Another great episode! In Europe I’ve seen some farmers having leafblowers with them to blow the combines clean in the field before driving home.
You call yourself a Millennial farmer. But your at the cut off. You should be Gen X with you work ethic and all. Glad to know there are people like you up by Alexandria like you.
Glad your Dad doing ok. Enjoyed

*Zach sneezes* Bless you.
Helpful tip I learn in college ball for nose bleeds. Put some triple antibiotic pref unscented. In nose and it will get rid of the issue in no time.
Jim’s the new camera man👍👍 all else fails, DRIVE FASTER💪 that cures everything Zach 😂😂
The old man is resting while combining #farmers👏🏻🇺🇸
