    • @heymistercarter.
      @heymistercarter. 6 дней назад +33

      I think the thing is, though, that you have to be someone who’s well-versed enough in both cuisines to pick the points to make the fusions. If you only know the bare minimum of something like Indian cuisine, you’re more likely to struggle in terms of thinking outside that. And I think part of why the chefs who got French cuisine as one of their choices did well is because a lot of modern day cooking techniques and dishes have a basis in French cooking (French cuisine is also one of Chef Ramsay’s specialties too). So it’s really a matter of knowing how wide of a playing field you can work with.

    Mexican/Indian is actually a VERY smart choice... a lot of the palette and spices are very similar, as well as the breads/meats way of cooking... the problem lies in making a dish that's going to impress world famous chefs.... Its a "safe" choice, but do you want to be playing it safe at that point?

    • @Lyy0n
      @Lyy0n 5 дней назад +1

      Thats what makes it hard and somewhat of a weird choice is the fact that there's too much interchange between the two. It's easier to make a notable fusion from two different cuisines than two similar ones
