Sometimes shorter songs hook people more, because our generation doesn’t have the patience, or concentration for anything longer. Social media and shorts are to blame, along with mental health, and anxiety. I’m a millennial, and even I get frustrated, when it takes someone on RUclips shorts to get to the point. This is due to low seratonin and dopamine in the brain. Social media causes these chemicals in the brain to go down, there for, less concentration, less patience, more irritability, and depression… Also if loud noises drive you crazy, that’s also a sign that your brain has less serotonin or dopamine.. I learned this from a psychiatrist. If was EXACTLY what I was experiencing.
