Brendan definitely did nothing wrong. Of course from the hindsight, it would be appreciated if Brendan didn't brand "these people's ridiculous behaviour =Chinese". We know every country has their own ridiculous kind.
As a matter of fact, people in China know that the portrait rights are limited to certain conditions. According to China's law, it is prohibited to use one's portraits/images to gerenrate financial gains without one's approval. If you were filmed/photographed in a public place by other people who do not intend to gain commercial/financial benefits from taking your images, your portrait rights most likely do not apply at this instance. These people were in a public place and quite obviously Brendan does not intend to use their images to generate any financial gians to benefit himself. So even this happens in China, the Chinese police and China's legal system will dismiss these people's claim. Actually, China is one of the most camera friendly places on this planet. There are thousands videos on youtube about people from all over the world travelling in China and filming their experiences and encounters in China freely. They never had any problems filming in the public places in China, even in hospitals or government buildings.

I know, right? In fact, the Chinese government goons are the most prolific photo takers of the lot.
They got fixed in place movie cameras as thick as hairs on a hedgehog. All over the place.
Even old mate Newton Leng & his drama queen offsider knows this. 😎😎

The piano was the Center point of this incident. The CCP crew needed it to film a propaganda video for Phoenix TV and the westerner was clearly in their way. Unlike in China they didn't expect any resistance so they had to dig into the bottom of the barrel of CCP tricks.
