Brings back memories of seein' Gerald & his band, lots of Sunday afternoons at the Pilgrimage,
w/ Harold Land, HL Jr, Anthony Ortega, Oscar Brashear. RIP Gerald you were a major contribution to jazz in Los Angeles.

The "mood man", Mr Wilson. A great addition to the modern jazz world. So sadly missed.

Even when Gerald Wilson's arrangements were played by Duke Ellington they were recognisably his own. This is marvellous!!
