Love it!. I just started the same Byzantine Late Era campaign last night. I was pleasantly surprised to see you playing it today. Also, I saw you talk about it and it is possible to take Constantinople on the 1st turn with only the 4 cavalry units in Nicaea with a drawout (no derping, actually defeating the entire army). It takes a long time, is maybe not good viewing but definitely possible. I was definitely lucky, but got it on my first try VH/VH. Of course you lose most of the cav in the fight. Run your horses to the far corner. Their cav will catch the Byzantine slow general before he gets there. Use your 1 horse archer to soften up as much of their cav as possible before they catch your general then swarm and defeat as many as you can straight away before infantry can catch up. Once their cav are destroyed then its onto the archers. After archers are gone then use the remaining ~10-15 bodyguard plus the handful of other remaining cav (~20-30 is what I had left) to carefully cycle charge foot soldiers that have separated from the blob of rebel units. Rinse and repeat until they break, then gobble them up. I only say all of this because it was your aggressive play style that inspired me to even try something like this in the first place. Props to you.
Dude, when Imperator: Rome comes out, you should play the absolute crap out of it!!! I think I can speak for most of us in saying we'd love a big Rome playthrough! Maybe try and reach the historical borders before Rome did historically?
This is the best total war with AI that just allows itself to be shot in the back? That's not better is it? I mean, okay, Rome 2 sucks for AI, but is this the best they ever did? I like fantasy games, but not Warhammer.
