This head looks way way better than the rest of the MacFarlane's. I love this figure, and I think you were a tad harsh. However, good job and I appreciate the content.
The head is the saving grace of the figure. Yes the teeth couldve been painted better, but it's still surprisingly good. I loove me some golden age looking superman, and him having a goofy smile (that isnt ugly compared to the last one btw) is the perfect embodiment of what the characters about
Eh I disagree, Superman isn’t “about” being smiling and happy. He is a positive character and he does smile for sure. This one is close, but looks goofy, they came close, but missed the mark. Much better than the 2 pack version.
The face isn’t as bad as you say. lol. He looks like dean Cain who played Superman in 90s show. I heard some people say the head looks like Todd himself. I don’t think so. This body mold is great for Superman! I’ve got it in the vampire Superman. I’ll wan5 to get this.
I agree. I think this headsculp is a lot better than the other ones. The other ones look like they are sick with the flu. So odd and just bad paint job.
McFarlne kind lost the ability to nail likenesses but I have to disagree with you about this head. It's nowhere near as bad as his previous attempt at a smiling Superman. THAT looked horrible. By comparison this head is downright restrained, lol. In general I think this is easily one of their best Superman figures, despite the reused body. I'm a little disappointed you didn't do a comparison with the Knightfall Batman though as I really waned to see those two together.
Everybody's always talking about the goofy Smiles well I guess Superman's a goofy then cuz that's all he ever look like in the comics had a goofy smile on his face
far view it didnt look that bad...just the close up and when you describe it with words like dumb and goofy, it does it lean it that way.🤣..but I'd take this one over the two pack,..nice figure image you did actually of the box art with Sups carrying Lois.
i have 1 copies both the original release and the atomic skull version. Both heads can barely look up compared to the hush supes man lmao@@santinomanarin2817
Wish I gotten AC1000, however I am happy with this figure. The smile does not bother me but oversized hands bother me a little. When I think of Superman, I still think of Christopher Reeve, so I gravitate to a Superman that looks like him. AC1000 and the two pack one really resembles Reeve the most though.
@@dHuntersReviews I've seen a video where you can slip his pants off after using the boil and pop method. Given that it's only red with a yellow belt, blue shouldn't be an issue?
Definitely one of my favorite Superman figures from mcfarlane, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the Injustice Supes as I think that is still by far their best one
I like this figure quite a bit but it has a lot of problems and smiling head isn’t one of them. I like smiling head, just wish it had alternate head that’s neutral. I really love the boots and the articulation of them. Weirdly enough, boots are the best parts of this figure. 😅
I can see the Silver Age comic Superman in that head and get what they're going for, but the execution isn't up to snuff. The eyes and smile just look kinda weird to me. McFarlane has put out better Superman heads in the past.
Great review. Once again McFarlane makes no sense extra hands for this figure but no extra hands for the Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian bale box set not mention those huge ankle & wrist pegs. Last but not lease the smiling superman looks creepy & weird.
Exactly. That's why McFarlane makes no sense a lot of times " respectfully" who wants a smiling superman on there shelf next to my other heroic figures it seems odd & creepy.
Exactly. This is why I personally think McFarlane should lose the DC license. His decisions for me have been mix example the legs on his figures when they stand its really far apart you can't close them in together for any types of flight poses unless you force them to be close in together and you should not have to do that.
I think you’re crazy He’s made the best mass market dc figures in a long time I’ve been enjoying dc collecting more lately then in a long time 2020-2022 was the best 2023 slight step back 2024 looking great
The goofy face, giant hands, huge thighs, and tiny chest really hold this figure back for me. The upcoming Earth 2 Superman is gonna have a new buck and it seems to have decent proportions so maybe we’ll see a definitive Superman once and for all
That one will probably be reused to death from now on. I still like this Page Punchers buck and it might be the LAST muscular Superman body. Just wish AC1000’s chest is mixed with this body.
Oh come on whats classic? the colour ok not one thing. I could list all day whats wrong i got plenty dc mattel that are classic ,whats that? Next to page punch superman is like superman 3 good evil The one comes with that lous that's classic I like the action comics repaint but 3d S

Looks slightly like Dean, overall body does more than the face. Just looks off, close, but off…

@@dHuntersReviews A little, but for me, not a deal breaker. I do kinda wish the blue was a little darker on the suit but overall, I like it.
If he is a classic Superman, where is the yellow s on the back of his Cape?
He didn’t always have that although I prefer it to be there.
His face looks like the kind you’d see floating in someone’s window at night in a Salem’s Lot movie
lol
For some reason the smile looks like an underbite.
Thanks for showing the head swaps. They make a huge diffrence.
Yeah, it’s close…but not there.
Everybody's always talking about the goofy Smiles well I guess Superman's a goofy then cuz that's all he ever look like in the comics had a goofy smile on his face

I was gonna pick this up but the bottom lip looks like its being tucked into his upper set of teeth. I can't unsee that lol
Yeah it looks goofy
Ordered 2 of the classic Superman. Love the color of the suit. Will be definitely doing some headswaps.

Is his pants the same red as the Action Comics #1000 version? I'd be tempted to swap them out if so for a more classic look with the belt loops .
The blue is way different so I don’t see how that would work…
