Brad thank you for the fantastic commentary. I am an older player and most likely never experienced the play you are experiencing. It allows me to understand the advanced play and the experience. Thanks again. Best of luck!
That guy being so confident he is good with his straight when there is a paired board and the flush out there is wild, he didn't even have the highest possible straight..
It was completely normal reaction this isnt is a 1-2 game the pot was tiny and the board wasnt that scary to not put in a raise with brads hand. I dont think it was that bad a call tho especially if he actually thinks the opponent might 3 bet bluff knowing his range is a bit capped (shouldnt have QQ or JJ). But the guy betting is going to be good 95% of the time so understandable reaction
“I’m sorry John , I don’t remember” Literally at my desk at work busted out laughing! Love it Brad! Your commentary which doesn’t get mentioned often is un parallel!!! #Legend
@slowery43 - Kahn-up2uz, BradOwenPoker and I, all disagree. Oh, and I would also like a muffin, assuming you did not spend more than 25 minutes watching more poker.
Incredible Brad! Love your heart and your work ethic to play those stakes! In the spirit of Rounderism's you are offically not invited to my 1-3 game down a couple of steps from where you are at! 🤣Safe travels and best wishes in your life's journey!
Rounders quote made me laugh, I had a friend that looked just like Worm even had another jacket like him. One of my best friends we used to play poker together, unfortunately he took his life in 2021 I miss the guy, but every time I hear worm that’s all I think of. Rest in peace David Wayne
Love your videos Brad. I play recreationally with my buddies and I take many tips from your posts into our games. Please never stop posting these videos‼️
Brad I saw you Saturday at the lodge. Do you mind if your subs come up to you while you’re playing? I wanted to ask you a few questions but didn’t want to interrupt
Yeah, I’m always happy to say hi and grab a photo or something with anyone who’s interested. Especially when I’m at the lodge. I’m actually at the lodge right now as I’m writing this, but I’m going back to LV later tonight.
See this is why I’m me and your Brad Owen … that first hand A10 I’d be calling to see a river blocking the nut flush and 4 to a broadway draw 😂 probably wouldn’t hit and bye bye chipies
That accounting going from one stakes to the next was very confusing. Even with Worm, paying back a professor. Good stuff. Always love it when you sneak in good references. Thanks, John.
Brad, you have hands down the best commentary out of any vlog on the tube. That being said, I understand it's part of your style and maybe your personality. But if you were this lively and as witty while you play live stream... You would by far be the games' biggest and best ambassador. But it's tough to watch you on a live stream my man. You have so much to offer those who follow and want to watch you live.
In this episode: Brad gets big bluff through, great hand. Brad quotes the best movie of all time... that and Color of Money. Brad hits gin cards 1 after another. Brad targets guy laddering up and gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar with garbage. Brad books a win. Great episode, very entertaining.
I’m headed to Austin in a week for my bachelor party, just for the weekend with some buddies. If your still there it would be badass to meet you, if not I’ll catch you another time but it’s definitely on my bucket list to make a stop at the lodge card room, so excited! Great vlog as always Brad!
Love the vids, just played a $1 bomb pot with friends 2 cards each 2 flops immediately, I had Q,9 boards were K 10 J, and 5 6 7, turns were 10 and 8 respectively. Player shoves all in with pocket aces, called, then called again on a flush draw, 3 way all in. Showed a straight on both and everyone was shocked. Tripled my money in the night, not bad
I don’t play poker like that, but why not raise at 13:40? His money is already in so if he folds no problem, and the only hands that beat you are full houses, pocket 5s and Ax of spades.
10:04 you claim "we are not supposed to fold" vs HJ's raise with K6s, I looked at 3 charts (two GTO 9-max and one exploitative 8-max) and K6s is not even close to being a call or a 3 bet. Where did you get that information from?
@@yuhyuhtheindigo7085 It's okay that you love them, (you can also love playing hands like the dirty diaper or Brunson) but question was where can I see, in objective terms, any proof that K6s either 3-bets or calls as Bu vs HJ raise.
Hey brad, I just started playing the game I've been a long time subscriber. Was wonder if you have any advance on how to improve your game when you first start playing and what type of games i should starting off?
I see you've been rewatching Rounders ;-) Just like your vlogs it's always a great watch. Keep up the amazing work on the tables and in the editing room !
hey @brad owen, nice video as always... i was watching some of your old videos again and i was wondering, is marvin the cat still around? havn't seen him for some time
22:56 im going vegas next week for first time and tipping isn’t really a thing in the UK. What are the general rules here for tipping dealers and cashing in?
Tipping, if it is a decent pot $@ for smaller pots $5 or slightly more for large pots. Cashing in, anytime you want head to the cashier, makes no difference even if it is right after booking a huge pot people may get mad but screw them you're there to win not to appease other players
For tipping, it depends on the game. For me, 1-3, 2-5, I tip $1 or $2 per win. At $5-$10, I do $5 up to 5% of the pot, depending. If you play $10-$20 or higher, most people tip the dealer when they sit down, and then only tip on really big wins.
Thanks guys, in this video when cashing in I saw Brad gave a tip, was just wondering approx what that would be? Does it depend on amount cashing in or is it set prices?
If you watch the videos, Brad usally tips whatever odd amount is left. For example if he cashes out for $1527, he will usually tip the $27@MrLewdog1985
Brad I have a question. I have commented before I have watched several of your podcasts now. You seem to play what I call an intelligent aggressive game. However even though you use an outstanding logic there were many situations I would have folded. I also heard you have financial backers. My question does the fact that you have financial backers allow you to play more aggressive than if you were playing with 100% of your own money? Please send me response when you have time. Thanks Mike P.
Hey Brad, I really enjoy your content. I have a question that I really hope you can shed some light on. When you shove with air, do you have a certain way to act. Like looking at the board, a card or just stare at the dealer...lol. Thanks a bunch from your friends from Georgia!!!!!!!!
You successfully refuel my poker addiction with every post
It's not an issue if you are winning.
Doubt that addiction needs refueling lol
