A lot like the neighbors we lived by. They had two older girls and we never played with them. We lived out in the country with almost 12 acres. We would have family picnics in the summer and would catch them trying to get in the house or actually in the house. When our house was broken into one night we figured it was them. They actually stole meat and food from the freezer along with money and jewelry. Will never forget them Dolly and Loretta. We moved and like you never saw them again.
Love your stories Itchy. We are about the same age and growing up in the 60s was a hoot. Sure was a different world back then. My Dad had a barn that we built go carts out of angle iron and old lawn mower engines. Home made mini bikes too. Some of the neighborhood farmers used to race us up and down the road on their tractors....can you imagine that going on today?
My grandfather used to say to me when I was a little kid,😄 don't stand in front of that picture window someone could have a dead aim on you.( Shell shock)
those where the good old days.back when parents tought their kids about honor and respect, for one another. Now days they probley would have tried to sue your folks
That Iowa camping story with the cop and this neighbor story is something else. i turn 70 tbis year and told the wife i'm tired of this crazy world and plan on making my first ride to the Strugis Bike Rally. Its about a 1400 mile ride from my house. Don't know if i will ride my 1993 FXR evo super gluide or my Goldwing. Might ride the area for a day or two and have a beer a d ride back home. i just have to do it one time. Life is to short. Wife is not to crazy about it but she said just be careful. Happy New Year to you and your wife. Bob.
Me & my 2 brothers did that with our neighbors across the street from us. Only thing we had to throw was our Dad's tomatoes that he had planted down the flowerbed by the house & fence. That was a mistake cause we got our ass's wwwwhhhhoooooppppeeeeeddddd for throwing all his tomatoes at the neighbor kids. It was funny though when we were throwing them tomatoes as my oldest brother hit 1 of the girls square in the ass with a tomatoe when she was bending over to pick up a rock to throw at us.
Itchi great story, U had a great childhood, and raised by good parents, those buckeyes we called them castanians over in Berlin where I was raised after the War, I was born during the War, when we were kids we gathered them in huge sacks dried them and used them for fire wood, in those days people burned there furniture foe heat, the buckeyes also made a lot of poping explosions in the fire, with those buckeyes u could do all kindsa things like put them on a sharpened long stick and and fire them off by centrificult force and a long distance, even make them into little stick figures, But u couldn't eat them they were bitter horrible taste, my memories were a happy memorie even when people were dieing of starvation, US kids even played with live amo that we found, and that's another story, That I made it this long is truly a miracle, I like hearing some of ur stories, I always like hearing how other people grew up,
It also shows good character when a man can recognise his mistakes and own up to them, so that was a valuable lesson your dad taught you as a young boy. Best wishes to you and Vee for the new year, I hope that everything goes well with the treatment and you can both remain strong. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
That was a good one! Had me on the edge of my seat wondering if you where going to get out alive. You are a good story teller Itchy. Hello Vee hope all is well. God bless.
Great story Itchy, took me back to my childhood days and fighting with the neighborhood boys. What great time. Maybe one of the Henry boys is a RUclipsr and respond. Whisking you and Vee all the best this year!!
Your great story had me reminiscing on my experience with our neighbors to the west. Their kids were grown up and moved out but the old man was not very friendly and was really fussy about his yard so it was definitely off limits but to the east three houses down was a large apartment complex where I had many friends over the years lived there. Was never too hard gathering up enough kids to play baseball football or go on bike rides with. Thanks for helping stir up some good memories
Boys will be boys. Both fathers handled that well. Great story. Had one of those trees in my friends backyard as well. Yes those things hurt when they hit ya.
Mark, ya got me laffin when you said you beaned a kid in the forehead with that buckeye. I just visualized it and that made me laugh. Not a he-he, but some laughter I couldn't stop for a while. Thanks for your story!
Great story, brought back similar memories. We too had a German Shepherd named Heidi when I was a boy. She was a white shepherd. Got out of the house one day, hit by a car and killed. My sister and I were crushed over it. God bless and Happy New Year from Texas, Itchy and Vee.
Good morning sir, enjoyed your story, I laughed because it is almost duplicate of my child hood, I’m one of 4 brother and a sister and we had neighbors like you did, I can easily recall having to be forced having to go and apologize for something I either did or didn’t do, but I wouldn’t trade my child hood for nothing, how we were raised is missing in our society today, now it’s the so called parents fighting there battles for there children 🤔 but anyway stay warm and hang in there. Robert
Itchy you should really write a book on your life, adventures, and all of these stories. I would be first in line to buy it. Prayers for you and Vee always 🙏🏻
Itchy!! You can have an Ex wife an Ex friend or even an Ex dog. But you're never an Ex Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine. Semper Fidelis, Always Faithful!
I had many buckeyes explode on my head and did the same to kids. Buckeye wars were one of our favorite pastimes. Wimpy California buckeyes tho (no spikes).
I swear Itchy I think lots of us as kids lived thru stuff like that. You had me lol ing when you said about them calling for the dog. My mom used to do that in the city with a outdoor cat named Charlie. She would stand on the back balcony for at least 15 minutes screaming Charlie! CHARLIE! CHARLIE! Before he would show up for the night. Even as a kid I used to think she was crazy and would piss off the neighbors every night! Lmfao we lived there years. Lol And one time I hit a kid in the head with a dirt wad made him cry. Stick a pipe in dirt and swing it like a bat would launch a dirt clump from it pretty far. We were hitting a block wall when this kid popped his head up at the wrong time and got a face full. Lmao I felt bad the mom was pissed. We apologized the kid was crying. It was an accident it wasn't meant to hit anyone. Lol ya guys someday I would love to hang out and chat. God bless hope all is well . 🙏 funny how we can build relationships without actual contact . But I think when we do meet is like we already know each other. Peace ✌
Hey Mr Mo.. good one 👍🏻 sounds like it was all about the honor that two fathers were teaching their boys, and you came away (haa! in ONE leap!) with some respect from the whole clan over there 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for the story, and give your girl a hug ♥️
Great story made me laugh. Do you remember the old saying it sucks to be you, I didn't know you had such a good arm. I'll bet lessons were learned on both sides, but just between you and me, were you really aiming at his head 😭
Hey Itchy I was laying in bed the other day having a hard trouble sleeping and for some odd reason you popped in my head 😆 I always enjoyed your videos but I’m subscribed to so many on you tube your channel got lost in the mix and I have not seen your videos in some time. Great story. I never really understood the real strict fathers who yell at their kids all the time. One kid on my baseball team in 5th grade comes to mind. Boy, his dad was a rough one. If his son had a bad at bat he would take his son to the side and really verbally dig into him. God I felt bad for that kid. Maybe the father I saw was the one son you hit in the head with the buckeye who’s all grown up now 😆 Anyway, it’s good to see your channel again. I think your a good representation of the people here in NE Ohio. We tend to be laid back friendly people. Would love to get together over a beer or a ride sometime. Take it easy!
Great story Mark. Always love hearing your stories. Reminds me of some neighbor boys that would steal my toys when I was a kid. My mom wrote my name on them with magic marker, so I knew they were mine. Well, eventually I got tired of it, and put a quart of strawberries in their dads fuel tank of his truck. Well needless to say, that went over about as good as a fart in church!!! We eventually moved, and I never seen them again. I wonder sometimes how they turned out, or what happened to them.
Really enjoyed the video today itchy we call Buckeyes conkers and we use to thread string through them and hit them lol I hope vee and yourself are well and all the best from across the pond
Hilarious! Reminds me of the time my brother and me squared off against my sister's boyfriend for a friendly snow ball fight. This guy was basically ok but had a big ego and could be an a$$ at times. For some reason instead of using snow my brother threw an ice ball at his face, that broke his glasses right in two at the bridge! It was kind of funny but he was pretty upset.
Same think happened to me when I was young. Throwing a snowball and hit a kid squarely in the face, when I let it go it looked like it was going in slow motion and bam down he went.
Funny how at times our childhoods resurface like this. Mine was a snowball fight with my neighbors across the street,My throw was off target and ended up hitting one of the girls who lived there. So of course I had to go apologize when her dad came home. I was scared to death... Funny thing is I ended up Marrying her sister ! And well we have been one big happy family to this day. lol Thanks for rekindling that moment Itch.
Love that story. We've all seen similar situations growing up. Here in NY those are called chestnuts; we.have 3 trees here on our property. They keep the squirrels busy! Keep em coming, these stories are fun! Happy New Year to you and Vee.
Great story, There are weird neighbors in every street. How's Vee making out. I hope she is staying safe and keeping away from the Covid, Happy New Year to both of you and keep the stories coming.
Itchy i love what you are doing for the biker community! I think a lot of people that dont ride bikes think that we are all assholes or jerks and you prove that we are all people some of course are tough around the edges but for the most part i have got more love from the biker community than any other group of people! Keep up the great videos! Itchy i have a channel if you ever want to make extra income my channel shows an easy way and anyone can do it! And no im not one of those guys that are trying to sell you something Just a side hustle that has made us a lot of money! Thanks for your content ! #flippinstoop

Kool story, think I like your stories better than TV. I think about people like that wondering what happened to them. Back in the day, Hey Vee!

Chestnuts are quite different. You can eat chestnuts and they are delicious. You can't eat a buckeye!
That place was a nice place, what happened to it? Is it still there?

What's up with the cinder blocks in the driveway ? Just wondering. U take care of V. U2 hang in there
Keeps the FedX, and UPS trucks off of our lawn. They were always going around that little loop with the big trucks and running ruts into the grass.
Very glad to see you and Vee doing well! Happy New year and good health to both of you !!
Great story Itchy. Happy New Year to you and Vee.
Happy new year!
Great story and I'm sure you gain a lot of respect from those boys, but who cast the first nut. I think you should have got an apology from them also!
You make a valid point.
Lol, one of their troops
