Wrong! Not Just the Mother Land of Africa,This jewel Belong to the Whole world! Oliver Tuku,Always we'll missing You on our eyes,But You'll be present in our Heart and Memory for ever! Tones of Love, See You in Heaven!!
Damn right Sis. My ears told me that, and this might be the 5th time I jump here in, I don't know the guy but am certain that he is truly a legend-period!
Great moment Joscelyn, as a man and musician, if they had asked me to meet a person from the whole music history , I would not have chosen Mozart or Bob Dylan or J.S.Bach, but Oliver. You have been very lucky to have this opportunity.
I heard he didn't side with the people but collected gifts from the president who oppressed and still oppressing Zimbabwean people. Really sad. He is still my favorite african musician, I just wish he felt their pain
The most touching and heart wrenching song..he did this will al his might.. little did he knew it will be felt beyond boarders..and even be done across the globe 🌎 by all races
Joss, you are very lucky. Tuku is an absolute legend. My late father loved his music. He got me listening to Tuku from a young age and now I'm passing on the gift to my kids.
Didn't know that the immense Oliver Mtukudzi was not among us anymore, until coming across this video and reading the comments. Curiously just exactly one year after his departure. Maybe a message from musicians' paradise. RIP Oliver, and thank you for this pearl Joss
I heard he didn't side with the people but collected gifts from the president who oppressed and still oppressing Zimbabwean people. Really sad. He is still my favorite african musician, I just wish he felt their pain 😢
I love your way, Joss. You're a different kind of artist. The kind of person the integrates instead of excluding. This is why I follow you. Thanks for bringing us music from the world, and thanks to all your friends from any country where you go. Pls keep on doing it. Never coming to Ireland?
Glad you're enjoying the videos. We have plenty more of these collaborations to come. We may well be coming to Ireland this year. Please check our website www.jossstone.com for dates later on in the year. Team Joss x
@@henryluyombya I am watching a legend and this song with Joss only makes it all the more legendary... peace be upon him and may his legacy live on forever..
Love this! Oliver Mtukudzi is a legend around the world and is one of thee most respected African musicians to date. Beautiful! and hats off Joss Stone for actually caring and connecting with different people and their music on her tours.
A god with a guitar. A genius in his element. Thanks Joss. You can at least say (when all is said and done), I once briefly stood in the shade of a lion!!!!!!!!
Joss did right. She went to where it all began and chose a legend unparalleled. If she didn't know then she sure does know now that she was in the presence of greatness.
I am probably your #1 fan from Ethiopia and cannot believe how this legend isn’t refered to as Sir or Doctor Oliver Mtukudzi. But you know what in my heart you are Sir Doctor Oliver Mtukudzi.
Profound is the legacy that the invaluable Tuku, in everlasting memory, bestowed upon African music. I hereby express my sincere gratitude for such illustrious contribution.
Thank you Joss Stone..You know how to combine the voices and music of different ethnic..A perfect combination.. of love for beautiful music..Your voice is sublime..singing with Oliver makes everything more magical..R.I.P. MASTER 😍🎼🎵🎶
RIP Oliver Mtukudzi, thank you for teaching the world about our beautiful Zimbabwe. You blessed everyone in the Shona native tongue with melodies and rhythms that will never be forgotten. Despite the struggle Zimbabwe is going through, we shall remember that the struggle bore gifts to the world like your music Sekuru. God bless you 🙏🏾
Y'all gon have to put a little more respec on my man Oliver Mtukudzi...he's not "a singer called.." he's THE Oliver Mtukudzi, an African Legend 😊 Nonetheless, I've so much more respect for you Joss...going to Zim & singing in the native language. Sounded great
Through here I came to discover Great Oliver and suddenly he passed few months later. RIP great man. Your voice heals my soul. So soothing. ❤ frm Png Pacific Islands. Listening frm Philipñines
goosebumps all over. grew up in hood, every saturday he threw for us YOUTH. Gave us a platform to showcase our talents. i can do DRUMS all because. he's my HERO, ALWAYS IN MY HEART TUKU
Traveling by her hand, from North to South, East to West, From A to Z... somehow the world is too small for her. And would be even less worthy, a lot less, without her.
Joss Kama "oh poor Neria, oh we gonna sing a song for her" My Tears😢 are rolling for poor Neria, if I had a daughter one day I will Name her Neria I promise....
awww so heartbreaking that two years later after this interview our legend is no more...his songs and his voice we miss....he really was good and after his death l realized it more than ever that there was only one Tuku and no one can ever replace him, reading comments and seeing how he was loved and appreciated beyond Zimbabwe makes me so proud to come from a country that he hailed from. continue resting peacefully samanyanga nzou, the legacy lives on.
That's gorgeous...!! thanks Joscelyn for sharing this awesome world tour... you really bring water to our soul with all these incredible music (from incredible people) from all parts of the world that we'd probably never heard of without you... I really enjoy each one... (+ he played a Godin guitar.. made here in Quebec) ;)
Maravilhoso dueto, perfeito, música para a alma, a Joss Stone canta muito também, linda voz, parabéns aos dois pelo belo trabalho. Viva a África, viva Zimbabué. Axé.
I respect a d love tbis..i loved Joss but when she went around the world world to sing lwirh all the different voices..that sealed it for me...British girll singing soul music..and respecting it bedore cultural appreciation was even a thing..big fan
Oliver is fantastic. He did a very good live set with The Black Spirits on KEXP. If you like what he's doing it's well worth the time to check that out. Goes without saying that Joss is, as usual, doing such a beautiful job singing with him here.
Steve Garbarini I agree. her voice is ethereal & yet grounded. total control, and I adore how she lets her spirit fly to meet others where they're at; blending her authentic voice into melded synchrony with theirs, instead of just taking the limelight all for herself.
I have probably listened to that live set on KEXP over 200 times now. I find it so much better than his concerts or cd's. It's much more intimate with just him on his guitar, his bass guitarist and the 2 background vocalists. I wish he would release a more intimate cd one day.
Ahh Joss Stone....a true child of the world. She has done what no artist has ever done before...EVER! After watching your world tour collabs, not only do I love your music but I love you as a beautiful person, beautiful human being.
Maravilloso sentimiento, que sería del mundo si todas nuestras diferencias las expresáramos a través del canto, gracias Joss por llevarnos a todos esos lugares.
Love it..,, so beautiful even though I don't know what they are saying.... I also love her curly long hair! How are you doing, Kingston? All settled in? How is the job coming along? How is the weather? We had snow yesterday and today...,just squalls.
WOW I am sold.........not only is your music august, your approach to music defines why music was created in the first place, is unfortunate very few artist can be explored just by their work and at the same time heal the world at large.
This is almost addictive... I saw the first video half and hour ago and I haven't been able to stop watching them... Every single one is great! Is really beautiful and amazing what Joss is doing around the world with so many talented people -including her, of course-.
Legend Tuku R.I.P, one of the best Africa has ever seen
