    1. It is amusing to watch the General talking eloquently about the economic difficulties of China!! It is well known that economic conditions move cyclically and can be managed. China remains a strong country despite all these difficulties and is making life miserable for the USA and its allies like Japan and Australia. 2 But India has responded strongly after 2020 Galwan and in another 5 to 10 years, we will be fully matching the Chinese, thanks our political leadership and capable Armed Forces. The USA helping us will hasten this progress. 3. Thanks Aadi for inviting the General to discuss topics like the Taiwan conference, 3Ts etc.

Always great to hear from Gen Syed Ata Hasnain. India is slowly but surely realizing its own strength as a world power and responding to Chinese posturing with its own posturing by sending the three army chiefs to Taiwan. The message will have rung loud and clear within the CPC walls. This time when Xi Jinping comes to India for the G20 meeting, he will have his tail firmly between his legs. India will get bolder in posturing under a strong political leadership to play the Chinese in their own territory backed by a strong military - well said Gen Hasnain. Jai Hind Sir!

India is playing a game of chess a parallel thrust for trust, an economic and the other a pragmatic hanging sword over China.
Both beneficial in India's intrest and both detrimental to China which is admired by USA who wants an ally, an ally unlike Ukraine.
This admiration says a lot politically.

For me, the single most important point made by Lt Gen Hasnain was to be very skeptical about the economic weakness in China. A few indirect pointers in that direction:
    1. German companies continue to announce expansion plans in China. Clearly, European businesses are neither decoupling from nor are bearish about China
    2. American consumer spending thus far has remained robust. Even if one allocates an increased share of that spending towards services; spending on goods has not cratered. And if manufacturing activities have not moved completely out of China; clearly China continues to remain a beneficiary of American spending, even if it is at a slightly reduced level
3.The recent decision by Indian government to ban imports of laptops drew a howl of protest from US companies, notably the chip manufacturers. Could there be a clearer indication of US companies continuing to be beneficiaries of manufacturing activity in China, serving the global market?
It does not matter how the Western media reports on anything; we need to always take these reports with lumps of salt!

People im JNU may think the PLA is 10 feet tall. Nobody else does. Also, its noteworthy that the Indian Navy is DEFINITELY a bluewater Navy and is well positioned to be a dominant force by 2030 in the IOR. The Indian Navy is the least sung, but the most strategic minded of the three services. Overall. Not infividually.

Have we accepted Tibet is part of China (unlike anywhere before 1950 ever, when Tibet was part of Chinese Empire on & off, but preserved her language, culture & distinctive religion)? If so (we accepted it) not under duress or circumstances, PRC scored a very big victory. It reduces us to a position where we quibble for border solution. PRC is very happy as long as India considers it as "border" issue and engaged with it.
Tibet has always been a nation but that complexion gradually changed after 1950. How does the "World" (don't bring in India) view this?

It will make China-India relationship at a different levels.

    - One China can also mean Mainland China belongs to Taiwan
    - Great idea that veteran Indian diplomats and servicemen attend at least 100 conferences a year. Should not be left as a suggestion but pushed with more zeal and action
    - Demographics is bad for US and Europe also, but immigration has solved that to some extent. This is not available to China as it hasn’t to closed societies like Japan
    - Why are US/India not creating the Strategic Ambiguity in Tibet

Logical, can’t deny we were living in world of our own, my grandparents and parents were influenced by some of westerners methods… such as organising ability , systematic education system, example all catholic convent schools had same syllabus If I went from , Amritsar convent to Dalhousie convent in summer I’ll be admitted in the same class and continue my studies as if there has not been any break. This system was easier for children to follow. Our education system is still in such a big mess, it changes with every change of one single individual. Wordy sorry.

Gen Husnain is wrong about Indian army being weak vs china in 1962. At that time Indian army was comparatively better equipped and trained in comprison to china. The only reason army lost was because of nepotism indulged in by Nehru in directly over ruling army chief and putting his own cousin in charge of a fake corps created overnight. Today the situation is diff. China has way more economic and military power vs india.

The US bonds sale is the last tranch of cash China will have. After that, China will not have any forex except gold (6920 tons and going).
Which is why China might be even more anxious to take Taiwan, of late. Taiwan’s exports are supposed to fix its cash position thereafter, and it might probably use the gold to finance the aggression.
