Funny how the original drummer to this song Never and I mean Never gets his props!!!! Lee I still say you are the most underrated of all time!
Lora Davis Personally, I think Lee was the best drummer Ozzy ever had. Fit his music, perfectly. Of course, I'm a big fan of Tommy Aldridge, Deen Castronovo & Brian Tichy, too.
But the original drummer on this track was Tommy right?
Where is this magical book of underrated drummers you speak of??
@@jumpinjojo Unicorn Library in Fantasytownville.
@@bomkfort9428 🤣🤣
R.I.P Lee Kerslake. Very underrated. Brian Tichy is a great drummer also.
Tichy - pure talent, what a pro
Brian Tichy ROCKS
words cannot describe what an amazing drummer Brian Tichy is. man...
Brian is such a badass! He inspired me to change the ending of that song to the way he does it. I like his version better and it just makes sense, and sounds better. Oh, and some of these comments are hilarious, especially the ones about the whip or to much showmanship. I don't care if the guy is doing back flips while he's playing as long as he sounds like Tichy.
Badass drummer playing one of my favorite songs of all time. Not only did I enjoy watching this, but I would kill to play with a drummer that good!!
There are no words to describe this legend in the making right in front of our own eyes…, once in a lifetime talent. Due to my medical conditions I can’t go watch him live but, all I can say is that I am alive watching him play drums 🪘and guitars 🎸 very aggressive style like Wild Mick Brown loud and energetic wow!!
Complete and utter devastation! Brian Tichy is not only one of the absolute best drummers working today, but I'd put him in the top 50 of all time in terms of consistency, reliability, musicianship, and the overall value he brings to a band. What a legend!
This guy is awesome!
Such a badass drummer
Dude 100% killed this song. Loved the nod to Tommy Aldridge too.
Yes. The left hand is definitely a nod to Tommy
That poor snare!!!!! 🥋
great drummer paiste sound amazing
I Wish the internet and HDcameras would have coming up 40 years earlier!
Really nice to see this song played! Good Work
I just closed my eyes and listened to the drums...dont need all the theatrics.....great drummer
My favorite drummer
Love that drummers walk in wearing sweats and lumberjack shirt and knock it out of the park!
This is my favorite
Brilliant Brian !
awesome ..yes
awesome drumming!!
Brian tichy great drummer
very good . fun style
If Randy saw this he'd want to get on a plane immediately. 😀
Brian Tichy is the shiiiiiiiiittt....What a BADASS. ...EPIC..
Great camera angles
Well done!
Tichy went off!!!
WHAT A MONSTER
The only way to listen to this is through a great pair of xtra-bass headphones turned up to 11, Brian "The rim shot" Tichy didn't miss a beat, I liked the showmanship some didn't.........but then again who fucking cares what they think......ROCK ON, Brian!!!
Outstanding !!!
RIP Lee Kerslake
Will miss Lee's drumming. He seemed like a guy you could have a couple of beers with.....for having rock star status.
ブライアン・ティッシーは音がカッコいい…
サウンドがカッコいいドラマーはマジでこの人だけ。
brian!
I came for the intro. I stayed for the left handed sledgehammer snare cracks 🤘🏻😌
he's doing a Tommy Aldrige move. Tommy still does it. relax.
See? No double bass pedal. All triplets. His left foot was just keeping time on the hi-hat on the opening. Yes.
Rimshotazos!!❤
Killed it
Una verdadera bestia
Tichy is #1...

Yes, the showmanship aspect would have bothered me in my teens, when I was starting out on drums (and around the time this album originally came out), and only interested in the drumming part. Nowadays, I appreciate a lot more someone like Tichy who plays great AND looks cool for the audience. Don't worry guys, next time look for Steve Smith with Journey, if you want a master drummer who won't add "overplayed showmanship". There's a place for everyone.
o yeahhhh
Yay another entry level drum session from our friends at sickdrummer. Thanks.
ruclips.net/video/LIKM2xLfZNE/видео.html - Brian is a sick drummer, who has studied and devoted his life to it. Nuff' said.
This coming from a guy? whose own band is sub-entry level! WTF
Bruh your band sounds like you just learned to play, what are saying?
@@WilliamYoder72
Exactly!!
What an embarrassing thing to say. Especially with how entry level you actually sound.
pretty over the top....
still badass though!!! \m/
Esa batería suena una 👍👍👍👍👍
I can't understand any other comments that don't say, SWEET Jesus!
Sweet Mary And Jesus!
Anyone who disliked this video is on the wrong Page.
That's mean af. Great tone, passion on the brink of rushing and show but not too much of it. Spot on job by Tichy who made those triplets sound orgasmic as it gets. Let's not forget that Mr. Kerslake deserved better production back in the day he recorded the original masterpieces and definitely better business partners than the crappy ones he had. R.I.P.
Original drums by the great Lee kerslake
Carai toca pra porra
Great drumming but is that "Drummer at the wrong gig" whip really necessary? lol
Spot on comment, Brian tichy is a fantastic drummer. However overplayed showman ship on this song.
I agree but it looks to me like he might have been going for Tommy Aldridge whip. Still his playing is bad ass!
I think he's just intense like that.
Putting on a show...and why not??? He has the chops and the song didn't suffer. I say WELL DONE!!!
A lo ultimo hizo cualquiera lo perdió al ritmo de la canción original tommy es un grande no hay con que darle
Off the HOOK \m/ \m/
Isn't there supposed to be 16ths on the hihat? Guess not. Just seems that the drum part sounds empty.
Erick Singer did cover Ozzy?
Before i saw the singer i thought it was actually ozzy lol
A lot of energy expended unnecessarily but solid enough
Unless you fall into the rarest of breeds category, like Tichy.
“Unlimited Energy”
really like a sick lol
Glad he's drumming with wasp great band
Who’s the singer?
looks like Alex Van Halen'
s Fair Warning kit!!
No, Lee didn't do 8th note kicks.
Who is this crowd!? sleeping?
Yes, Brian Tichy is talented, but it was Lee Kerslake from Uriah Heep who first co-wrote this song, and began it with this amazing riff. Lee Kerslake insisted until his dying day that he'd never even met Brain Tichy.
Seems like a dick. Of course, I know absolutely nothing about either of them on a personal level, let alone their relationship. Hint, hint.
Brian is an absolute savage!
Name something better covering this besides Tommy Alderage who might have written this lick.
Lee Kerslake from Uriah Heep is the original.
......
Yea Bian T would tell you all . Day that He learned that shit from Lee kirkslake, and drummers out there if you wanna learn hard rock and metal
Learn all of Ozzt diary and ozzy blizzard of oz Brian would sY same thing, he does a very accurate job (note for f n note) and thats the wY you do it. All though fuck9ng Sharon fired him (Lee kirkslake) after he put the best drumming on tape ever.heard at the time. Still sounds fresh though...
sickdrummermagazine has really gone down the shitter man
+a54635 sometimes they post the most boring shit, don't they?
ruclips.net/video/LIKM2xLfZNE/видео.html - Brian is a sick drummer, who has studied and devoted his life to it. Nuff' said.
I recorded a cd with Tichy in the early 90s. Rehearsals and studio time during that time revealed to me that he was THEE BEST ROCK DRUMMER IN NYC. And he was only 25 years old. I remember him at Berklee (late 80s) also and he was kicking everyone's ass there as well. He could (and can still) DO IT ALL- Peart, Lars, Dave Lombardo, Bonham, Terry Bozzio even Weckl type stuff. AND -- he can play guitar like Warren DeMartini on top of it. So -- boring? Nope.
Agreed. I played with B for a year in Boston and everything you said is true. The dude is a monster on drums. He used to bum out my guitar player when he'd grab his guitar; not because my guitar player wasn't good...it was just that Brian could be sooo good at both instruments.
hired gun never with one band
brian but its a lee kerslake song :(
No blast beats? Unsubbed.
Thank God!!!! Blast beats SUCK anyway!!!!! No feeling or groove....sounds like a train wreck!!! You probably think Cookie Monster should get vocalist of the year too? SMDH
This isn't sick.
+mejiajosue77 prepare for the drum nerds to come down on you. Oh, but hes playing so TIGHT... lets see YOUR drum videos if youre so good... but look at all that showmanship! lol this is garbage, its like 3/4 as good as the original, and the original of this song isn't "sickdrummer" level anyway. What a joke.
+John Lichtenberg lol
+mejiajosue77 define "sick"
+Mullet King fast. Technically sound. Something that require skill to do. Not this video.
mejiajosue77 So playing fast requires skill and this doesn't? Man what is wrong with this channel's viewers.
I still think Tommy Aldridge plays it better
I disliked this only for the man bun.
way to fast.
what the fuck is with the left hand snare. Play normal it will look better. 80's are over
